Honestly, did he have inside intell before that game????? How does the same offensive coordinator call that amazing game against the Buckeyes, and then basically do nothing remotely close since??? Maybe Brain should have stayed in the press box to call the games like he used to. Had to run down to the sidelines before the OSU game was even over to get cameral time in 2017, and hasn't left the sidelines yet.

This^^^^^^ I call that BF unicorn game. Iowa had so many games under 20 that year. Called 60+ games and had so many clunkers. This game was definitely the outliner which BF still desperately grasp on to. Like how he picked 2 games to go over with dochterman and of course he picked that one. F BF he needs to be relieved of play calling duties asap.
Frankly, that Iowa team had a lot more proven talent that this year
Yeah that team had 3 first rounders on offense in Wirfs, Hockenson and Fant, plus future 5th rounder ISM and 7th round QB Stanley. And a good RB in Wadley. And a guy who has stuck around on a practice squad for a couple of years (Brandon Smith). Just night and day talent wise.
Plus OSU was ill-prepared and uninterested in playing, for whatever reason.
