2017 recruiting wish list

Why is it that of the ten most wanted recruits we have offered, Iowa State has offers to 7 out of the ten also.. Is Iowa State taking over for when Wisconsin would always offer a kid once we offered. Maybe they should try having their own recruiting coordinator instead of using Iowa. HA!

Honestly I think that's exactly what they are doing. It doesn't hurt them to offer a good player that Iowa has scouted and then offered, it's just more publicity even if they don't land them just because their name gets out there with players thanking schools over Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. That said, it's soooooooooo annoying and unfortunate that they do this, however, when your the red headed step child to Iowa, it's gotta be a pretty rough go. I knew this was going to be a fun new tactic of theirs once they offered spencer Williams and Shaun beyer from our last class and then, the most laughable of all, Eno Benjamin who has publicly stated Iowa is his top school right now. It's like, why not offer a top RB who lists our rival school as his top choice?!?!? God I hate Iowa state...

When did ISU offer Spencer Williams? I remember when Minny offered around a week before signing day, but didn't see where ISU had...Fwiw, Iowa has around 65-70 current offers out there for 2017. ISU has 120+..They must be "following"more schools than just Iowa...

I Think I might be wrong about that now that I've looked it up but when I posted this 10 minutes ago lol I could have sworn they offered an Iowa commit vey late who they had NO chance of signing - beyer and one other and I thought it was Williams but I stand corrected on that. Either way F state and go Hawks. And with the lack of positive energy around the program from years past I'm not surprised that the new coach has to throw out more offers than he knows what to do with since state has been so bad. I guess you can sign em if you don't offer, right? Even if it's 1 million different offers??? Lol gotta do what you gotta do

Cause Iowa is known for finding the gems in the rough and coaching them up to be all-conference players. I also look at it this way, Campbell is not used to recruiting the 4* of the world, he used to going after the 2&3* of the world. So now he has to try and figure out which ones of higher rated guys will be players and which ones fit. So what better way to start off by recruiting kids that have been to the state, have heard of the name Iowa, and know of other kids from the area. I think he is just trying stop-gap this years class cause he probably hasn't ever contacted these types of players. Either way he will soon learn he can't recruit to there and maybe he will string a few bowl seasons together and move on.

If you're Iowa State you have to make a lot of offers to fill out a class. :)
