While I agree that there are a lot of folks who don't know much about basketball, saying "it is just a bunch of old white dudes who love fundamentals..." pretty much shows that you also don't know much about basketball. The best players have the ability to do the incredible things that players never did in my generation, but still understand and work on "the fundamentals", like making free throws, boxing out and getting position for rebounds, watching both the ball and your opponent on defense, understanding the game situation and when to try to make certain plays, playing together and communicating on defense, shot selection, making passes that the passer can make with regularity and guy receiving the ball can catch ... When you have players who are both talented and understand the fundamentals, then you are likely to be successful. If Iowa's two most talented players had been more fundamentally sound the past couple of years, the team would have been much better... (A little more talent and athleticism would have helped tooIt’s typically the same people who think just because a player is tall he has to play almost exclusively in the post, or that a PG has to be a “true PG” in order to be any good. It’s just a bunch of old white dudes who love “fundamentals”, taking charges, and can’t stand watching the NBA because they don’t play any defense. Basically, what I’m trying to see is these people are morons and you shouldn’t listen to anything they say about basketball, because they know nothing about it.
Lol you're an idiotBasically, what I’m trying to see is these people are morons and you shouldn’t listen to anything they say about basketball, because they know nothing about it.

As opposed to what, being schooled? He's definitely talented and athletic but lol he's schooling small town Iowa boys in those highlights.

Hasn't he also been impressive in summer ball?
Easy, I wasn't the only one who thought you were saying more. Glad you clarified. This kid is going to be a star.Wtf do any of those questions have to do with my post?
Of course he's been impressive. There's a reason he's a 5 star.
The highlight video is funny though, because those kids look like middle schoolers compared to Foster. That doesn't mean I was saying he's not that good as a result.
