*** #21 Iowa vs #10 Indiana WBB Game Round 2 ***

They have got to start calling technicals for that. Players are turning a great game into soccer matches and that’s just plan disgusting.
The officials can’t see half the stuff that goes on during a game due to their incompetence. Still you’d think they’d notice the girl launching herself horizontally but hard telling.

She can not or will not dibble drive. Does play defense and on offense hangs at the three line for a kick out. They shut that down
As much as I love Gabbie's D, I think McCabe might end up earning the 2 spot by the start of BIG play next year with Gabbie coming off the bench for defensive energy.

For those asking, Indiana, Maryland, and Michigan won't play enough games to tie Iowa unless the schedule is altered in the final week. That means Iowa can only tie with Ohio State (who holds the tiebreaker over Iowa due to the head to head).

If Iowa and Ohio State win out, we split the conference title, but Ohio State gets the 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. If Ohio State loses once and we win out, we win the conference outright.

I believe so. They are now 12-4 with 2 more games. Michigan is 12-3, Indiana 11-4, Ohio State 12-4, Maryland 12-4.
Maryland has 1 game left, they play Indiana. Best they can be is 13-4.
Indiana has 1 game left i think, against Maryland. Best they can be is 13-4 (unless big 10 website is wrong). They have had so many suspensions I don's know if they are going to make them up. But if Iowa wins out, Iowa would still win tiebreakers with Indiana.
OSU is 12-4 with game against Penn State and Michigan State.
Michigan is 12-3 with games against MSU and Iowa.

Way I see it is if Iowa wins out against Rutgers and home against Michigan, they would do no worse than tying for the title. Not sure who would win tiebreakers with Michigan or OSU, but it would still be a regular season title. Those are very hard to get and would be great to get.
Agree with the above. Lots of makeup games; doubt they'll be played. Now, if Iowa beats Rutgers and loses to UM, we'd be 12-5. If IU loses to M'land, they'll be 11-5. At least that should get us the double-bye, right? Will be interesting to see how MSU plays v UM after losing tonight too PSU. We owe UM a much better game; hope CHA will be crazy.

I believe we have a double bye as long as we beat Rutgers. One of Indiana and Maryland will have 5 losses guaranteed. If we lose to Michigan, we will also have 5 losses, but will have more wins than either Indiana or Maryland because neither will play 18 conference games.

She defends well and spaces the floor. If she’s not getting shots it’s because defense won’t leave her. Wonder why Monika is nearly always single-covered? Because she’s got GM on the wing. Why does Caitlin get so many layups with nobody sliding over to help? Because GM is the wing on her side.

you can't score when you don't have the ball

Captain Obvious, I know ;)

There has to be more to her position than just standing at the three point line on offense. Her screens are not good. She defends ok but gets beat on dribble drives often.

True about Gabbie. But she always gets the job of guarding the opponents best player and she really picked up her defense in the 4th quarter. Monika was mvp last night but it could have gone to Gabbie for her defense. Also her offense has not yet returned from her injury at Michigan. She does have the ability to light it up from three.

Of course there is but creating off the dribble isn’t her strength. Would you like her to suddenly start doing things she’s not good at?

Defensively she speeds people up and leads them into traffic and often turnovers. Including last night, giving little 4 a taste of her own medicine.
