JFC normal basketball should not include injuring players so that they cannot play in the next game.
B1G refs need to clean up their act! THEY SUCK AT THEIR JOB!!!
So much for that prediction - we opened in player defenseGuessing we're going to be playing 40 minutes of zone on defense. Maybe Reynolds could suit up, since she's never used her Covid year![]()
The score is 38-20 at the half. Iowa up 18. Wisconsin's website must be way off. appears to be MN/IN gameThe Wisconsin provided stats just switched to random with 4 minutes left in the first half.
It's somehow providing stats for the Minnesota-Indiana game. The Wisconsin provided stats just switched to random with 4 minutes left in the first half.
I'm sure that Bluder is trying to protect O'grady from injury. We literally only have 2 bigs until Ediger or Cook is fully back. Cook is dressed which is a good sign. Ediger is probably out at least one more game maybe more. Some first half thoughts:
I don't think the coaches have any plans to play O'Grady at the 4. If ever there was a game to do so, today was it. Affolter is effectively the only sub for 4 positions. Yet the coaches still aren't playing O'Grady at the 4 to get other players a longer break.
I like Affolter's aggressiveness on defense. Once she gets some experience and doesn't look so unsure of herself, I think she'll be an asset defensively.
We look like we're just going through the motions, yet we're already up 18. Wisconsin has such a huge talent deficiency to make up.
And Iowa has only been called for 1 foul and Wisconsin 7 fouls so I think the refs heard Bluder's PC and got the message to clean things up.Galling that Ohio State's rough-housing second half defense was permitted by the officials rendering Iowa short-handed tonight. No hope the Big Ten Conference does anything!!!!! (Sorry for my venting!)

I think McKenna will be out a while. Gabbie could be back. It's a shoulder injury and likely soft tissue so once the bruising heals and range of motion returns. She came back into the OSU game which leads me to believe it's mostly soft tissue and nothing more serious.Assuming McKenna and Gabbie will be out for the Michigan game as well. We're probably looking at a blowout loss.
With a short bench let's hope they don't blow us out and no one else gets injured.Let's hope they let Iowa win.
I get trying to protect the 5s normally, but at this point we're 1 injury away from forfeiting our next game.I'm sure that Bluder is trying to protect O'grady from injury. Yeah well f*** Michigan. They owe us.With a short bench let's hope they don't blow us out and no one else gets injured.
While sitting out most of the 4th quarterAnother triple double for Caitlin!
When you never drive inside the lane and only shoot 3 pointers, there aren't going to be a lot of fouls. Half of our shots were inside the lane????And Iowa has only been called for 1 foul and Wisconsin 7 fouls so I think the refs heard Bluder's PC and got the message to clean things up.
Can't we just call in and say too many out with COVID?I get trying to protect the 5s normally, but at this point we're 1 injury away from forfeiting our next game.
Not only did Affolter play good defense but she pulled down 8 rebounds, not to bad for a freshman who gets very little playing time. The competition wasn't the best but I liked her play better than Feuerbauch's last night. Some first half thoughts:

She rebounds extremely well for a wing. She did in high school, and there were signs of it earlier in the year against weaker competition. I think she has the potential to be an important piece for us in the future. A player who focuses on defense/rebounding and doesn't need to take a ton of shots on offense. Those are players we need with Clark and Czinano taking the bulk of our shots. Not only did Affolter play good defense but she pulled down 8 rebounds, not to bad for a freshman who gets very little playing time.
