3/4 Press MIA

Was it something about the opponent? Surprised we played absolutely no 3/4 court press against Marquette - and with the new 30 second shot clock, I thought we'd see more, not less, of it. Not complaining as the game was a joy to watch, but I really liked that press last year & expected it to be even more effective with shorter shot clock.

We were crushing them out the gate. No need to show. Save it for Dayton on Turkey day. I think we will see plent of it soon.

We lack speed on the back end and shot blockers. I doubt we use it much.

Iowa's guards were picking their pockets early so not needed. I also think that part of the game plan was to keep it tight on defensive end to contain Ellenson and Fischer with double teams. Ellenson can is too good one-on-one in the open court.
