8 minutes left in the 2nd quarter and ISU had a lot of momentum leading 10-3. At that point there were 3 plays in a row that CJB made that were huge:

Iowa 1st and 10 from its own 6.

-CJB drops back to pass and gets hit very quickly in the endzone, somehow manages to get the ball out to the 1 yard line. (I'm thinking 75% of college QB's get tackled for a safety here which would have been huge for ISU going up 12-3 and getting the ball back in very good field position)

Next Play: 2nd and 16 from its own 1:

-CJB rolls to his right, no one open and rambles for 44 yards (great decision, great shifty, athletic run making numerous defenders miss. Other than perhaps Brad Banks I'm not sure any Iowa QB in the Hayden-Kirk era could make that play.)

Next play: 1st and 10 from its own 45:

-Drop back pass play, ISU has good rush, CJB steps up to avoid the sack, moves to his right and as he gets hit he somehow finds Canzeri on a short dump off pass that goes for 19 yards. (Pocket awareness, continuing to look downfield and finding a receiver to dump the ball to with a defender in his face).

5 plays later he throws the dart to Smith in the end zone for Iowa's first TD of the game.
