4 completions in cades

Oh believe me, it has sunk in for me. At least the genius coaching staff played Sullivan....oh wait... 🤓 🤡 🤓

No more excuses with not having a backup ready to play. Our backup has experience playing in B1G games, with 69% completions, >1300 yrds, QB rating of 136 and >250 rushing yds. Trying to tell the fan base that CM is leaps and bounds above BS at this point is nothing but a huge middle finger to everyone who questions him.

If KF and CM run this season into the ground, then KF and the entire offensive coaching staff can't be gone soon enough.

Edit to add that BS is the guy that TL specifically brought in himself, unlike the other two scholarship QB's who have probably already been completely ruined by BF.

I am not positive that Cade is 100% healed up…. He looks to be like 80% at best

No no no. You guys just don't know football. Iowa State's defense is better than the 2000 Ravens, 1985 Bears and 1978 Steelers all put together. How can you expect anything but fluttering back foot fall-away throws against 11 guys who will be drafted 1 - 11 in April?!
The second half D looked like it…I dunno what they did at halftime but give me some of that stuff……

I couldn't agree more. It would be one thing if Cade was a really good passer with limited mobility. Cade is a below average passer and has no ability to make plays with his legs. Why not got with the guy that seems to be at least average passer and has some legs to extend plays. Sullivan is also 6-4 and won't get his passes batted down in the pocket like Cade. This is absolutely crazy that he hasn't even gotten a series yet. KF doesn't want to be wrong with his miss on Cade. Insanity continues with this program...

One thing hill and Stanley could do was run it in , bull their way in, from the red zone. Or really about 2 yds out. I don’t think Cade can do it, maybe he’s still injured or afraid of injury

Kirk said Cade isn’t in game shape yet. I guess he is going to give Cade the rest of the season to get there.

The camera caught Cade “huffin and puffin’’ breathing heavily after throwing a pass. There’s nothing he’s doing right now that looks good.

Sullivan should be a full-go QB1 next Saturday.

Deacon was not capable of bulling his way in. He should have been able to. And this is why I remember, because I was thoroughly underwhelmed by his sneaking ability given his size.

I even looked it up. He had two rushing TDs last year, both from a yard out. One vs Minnesota where it took him 3 tries

Iowa first half tendencies that carried over into the second half. Not hard to figure out when you see them over and over then a qb that under throws his receivers so they intercept or knock said ball away.

yeah but Stanley got pretty good at it by the time he was a senior or maybe junior

yeah I noticed the middle underneath was open at first, then they tightened it up, amongst other things

Depending on your expectations, I'd argue its too late for that. They already have.

You can bench a 5* safety who is a home state hero (I mean, it was Phil and the right call)

You can bench a corner who gets picked on (still Phil, right call)

You can doghouse running backs and receivers for fumbling or goodness knows what in practice (not always the right call)

A QB, no matter how bad they play, has the longest leash in history.

Beathard for Rudock
Stanzi for Christensen

That's the list of changes.

You know what’s sad? Hawk fans are reduced to celebrating routine completions…..completions made at a 90% clip by most qb’s, but are considered a monumental achievement by ours.
100%

In the 1st Q Cade completed a few passes to Gill in the middle of field for like 10-15 yards. I was thinking "this is amazing".

And then I realized how low my expectations were for just simple completions to WRs for a 1st down. I always expect those passes to result in deflections, picks or incompletions.

Sadly the 2nd half went back to the norm. It's so damn demoralizing as a fan. Cant imagine what it's like for the players and some coaches. Still think Kirk DGAF about it. Doesn't even register
