Who ya pickin' Braydon? Seems like Maryland--especially Diamond--has the athleticism that give our gals fits.
She does, but I think it's possible whoever defends her will play off some and encourage her to take jumpers. Then it's a matter of: 1) does she do what Iowa wants and shoot from far away, and 2) do those shots fall more than they have all year?
We haven't had a shootout in a while, so I'll go 90-86 Iowa.
Some possible good news: McKenna Warnock seems to be wearing the regular practice uniform during shootaround as seen on Coach Abby Stamp's Instagram story. She shows her, Caitlin Clark, and Monika Czinano talking with Rebecca Lobo and Holly Rowe. I'll take that as a good sign that she's improving as last game she was just in a sweatshirt. I could be just reaching here and being hopeful that her return to the court happens soon.
Our most recent history with Maryland, we've gotten killed on the boards. Hopefully the Hawks recent rebounding success will carry over tonight.
Took Maryland to cover. Not convinced we have anyone to guard diamond girl.
