What will his buyout be after next season??
How low does it have to go to pull the trigger in your opinion?$24M....
How long does what have to go? The winning? How low does it have to go to pull the trigger in your opinion?

Yeah, but Brian didn't have a $24 million buyout behind his name.I have no idea what Beth is thinking when it comes to budgets, etc. These buyouts she inherited suck, that's for sure.
At the same time, she didn't flinch when it came to firing Kirk's son.
It definitely is not a dumpster fire. But, the argument could be made it’s akin to your buddy’s truck, passenger floor board, and bed, starting to accumulate too many fast food bags and empty drink cups. Not a dumpster fire, but plenty to clean up before you pick up the girl. However, your buds will jump right in the cab and tell you it’s fine.A lot of you act like this program is a dumpster fire and it is not. The last few years have been historically bad on the offensive side of the ball, but things are looking up there this year. The defense is down this year from what it has been and has been just as much to blame for the losses as the offense. But we have solid leadership there with PP and I don't think many question him.
A lot will depend on these last two games as 6-6 looks a lot different than 8-4 and I would admit that 6-6 is not a good sign. But, if this team does what we think they should do, they will be 8-4 and probably a solid 5th in an 18-team league. Considering the resources that other universities have that is probably still over-achieving in what would be a down year for Iowa.
This is not me accepting mediocrity or being a KF apologist either. I would love for Iowa to compete at the top of the B1G and for national championships every year as much as the next person, but, that is seriously not reality. No matter who is coach it is still going to be about the Jimmy's and Joe's and the landscape for that is different now than ever before.
The only opinion that matters is that of the record booksIt definitely is not a dumpster fire. Yet last season the team won 10 games and it may have been the peak of negativity in the Hawkeye communityBelow 0.600
We all know a paper tiger when it gets set on fire as bad as at that bowl game. 10 wins under our circumstances, yes. Then blown out in the post.Yet last season the team won 10 games and it may have been the peak of negativity in the Hawkeye community
I can't find any of your footnotes in the record booksWe all know a paper tiger when it gets set on fire as bad as at that bowl game. 10 wins under our circumstances, yes. Then blown out in the post.
It’s one thing to be a fan; quite another to be a homer.I can't find any of your footnotes in the record books
A homer for not minimizing a 10 win season or a 20+ year successful program, lol? It’s one thing to be a fan; quite another to be a homer.
I can't find any of your footnotes in the record books
Then that makes the 10 win season incredibly impressive.*Deacon Hill was worse than taking a knee on each and every offensive play
Water boy at bestSomeone I know who is very close to the program told me Kirk would like to coach until 75. Hopefully those last 5 years will be as the OL coach.
KF would destroy you at "the foosball"Water boy at best
Our roster is gonna be trash next year. Iowa can't pay kids enough to come here in the portal to fix all the holes we're gonna have.A lot of you act like this program is a dumpster fire and it is not. I heard you’re going to donate your spleen to help get more top notch kids to come in? Fact or fiction? 😃 jkOur roster is gonna be trash next year. Iowa can't pay kids enough to come here in the portal to fix all the holes we're gonna have.
He thinks 7-5 is a grrrreat record so you’re probably rightKF will return just to get the all time wins record. That's all he wants at this point, the money is not the issue.
Is that a compliment or a swipe at the fanaticals. It’s one thing to be a fan; quite another to be a homer.
Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit is it.How long does what have to go? The winning?
To pull the trigger on an extension? I'm not entirely sure that Kirk, at this point, is sure he wants to coach past '29
He definitely isn't leaving on his own before he passes Woody Hayes.
KF will return just to get the all time wins record. That's all he wants at this point, the money is not the issue.
He's already got the all time losses record. Needs the wins record to balance it out.KF will return just to get the all time wins record. That's all he wants at this point, the money is not the issue.
I agree he will come back to get the record.KF will return just to get the all time wins record. That's all he wants at this point, the money is not the issue.
He has said he wants to ride off into the sunset as an OL coach. I hope they just do a swaperoo and Kirk goes to OL and someone else moves in as HC when he is ready to give that up.Someone I know who is very close to the program told me Kirk would like to coach until 75. Hopefully those last 5 years will be as the OL coach.
Phil Parker won Iowa 10 games that season, not Kirk. Then that makes the 10 win season incredibly impressive.
But again, 10 wins stands impressive on its own. It doesn't need my footnotes
