High school honors - -Earned first-team all-state honors as a senior . . . was first-team all-conference as a junior and senior after earning second-team honors as a sophomore . . .Career - - Three-year letterman as a wide receiver . . . team captain as a senior . . . set school receiving record as a senior with 1,207 yards and 13 touchdowns on 76 receptions . . . recorded 56 catches for 864 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior . . . totaled 30 receptions for 564 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore.

Personal - - Born 10/12/96 . . . kinesiology major . . . mother is Anita Smith . . . high school coach was Mark Cox.
 
Along with Ojemudia, the freshman player I am most excited to see this in action this year. Both have "playmaker" ability IMO.
 
He sure looks the part. After watching the video I want to know more about his HS QB. Sure seemed to know how to put it up there to allow Smith to make the play and keep it away from defenders.
 
not sure about the qb. but I have a feeling his stats wouldn't have been nearly as good if he hadn't been throwing to jerminic. JS made some outstanding plays on the ball in that vid. looking forward to seeing what he can bring!
 
First team all state in Texas is a pretty big honor. Would be great if he could emerge as a freshman.
