I knew I like guys as a kid. I'm not trans, but now understand that the trans people I know felt similar experiences.
If they had similar feelings, but are trans, does that mean you should be trans? Does it mean they should be gay? Or are these just feelings that people can have but the individual gets to decide what they want to be?
You did not have to have surgery or take hormones and yet you seem happy with how you turned out. Why do these kids have to get those treatments when they have similar feelings? How do you know they weren't meant to be gay, but the current culture pushed them to being trans.
Maybe they could avoid social bullying if they did not try to be the other sex. This was accomplished in other generations by being gay and cross dressing/ drag queens. The benefit here would be you sleep with the sex of your choice, you dress and act however you want but you don't need to have surgery or take hormones.
It was mentioned in one of the reports I linked that they have suspicions that most of these kids would turn out to be gay if they didn'tget affirmative care, but now they are turning trans. They said in a way it is like conversion therapy for gay kids.
In your experience, do you think gay people or trans people have a harder time fitting into society?
I'm not trying to be offensive here, so sorry if you take it that way. I'm curious what your take is on this.
