In socialist North Korea there is total government control, high infant mortality, per capital income of $1,200 a year and widespread starvation. In free (meaning capitalist) South Korea income is $34,000 a year, best school system in the world and the best medical care and an economy better than most European countries. So pick Sanders or Clinton and get income equality where everyone starves or pick republican and the poorest South Korean is wealthier than the richest North Korean.

YUP,.....democratic/Capitalistic government model, personal freedoms, good economy, free... from socialism, good relations with its neighbors...peaceful, not aggressive/strong...great
US ally/friend.

Make America Great Again... by trying to be like South Korea!

I'm not sure it would resonate with Trumps target demo as well as just Make America Great Again, but you get an A for thinking outside the box.

The education and the healthcare system in South Korea are both government run, making them socialist by your thinking. SK has government paid for universal healthcare and they pay their teachers significantly more than we do. So thanks for proving socialism works. And it works best when its mixed with capitalism. Just like we have always done in America. South Korea also has massive public investment in specific industrial sectors that helps make capitalism go, just like the US. So please, vote for the candidate that will give us South Korean policies, I will be right next to you.

I am assuming you want a socialist shithole? Either you are clinically insane or flat broke, destitute and living in mammy's basement...

You said you wanted us to be like South Korea. South Korea is socialist. Your argument proves there is no reason for it to be a shithole. But that might be shit on your foot because you really stepped in it here.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I was simply making a branding observation. Ironically you're the one advocating for copying a socialist country in addition to being in a tie with Ottumwa for most likely to be clinically insane and living in a relative's basement.

That's a competitive race around here.

People might be better off learning about the differences between socialist policies in North Korea opposed to socialist policies in oh say,..a place like South Korea.

And then applying that knowledge to what people actually advocate in the U.S.

I wonder how the OP feels about South Korea's decades long history of military leadership and coups? South Korea is a success story, but it has been a long path, and they benefited from decades of support by the US. Many of their social structures are more European socialist versus US free market. Well, except for the many US social structures based on European socialism.

Socialistic Norway has one of the highest per capita incomes in the world ($20,000 more than US)...just saying...

Capitalism is great but you can't let it run wild. The banking scandals and safety scandals companies have tried to hide are proof government oversight is needed.
Bad examples, the government caused most of the "scandals"

OP: North Korea is a dictatorship. It is not really even communist. South Korea has many more socialistic characteristics than the U.S. does. Your aim is no better than an Imperial Stormtrooper's.

I think we all agree that we don't want an authoritarian dictatorship in the guise of communism here. See, common ground!

Yep, it's more like an organized crime family than anything else.

Why is it not surprising that you don't understand the difference between North Korean authoritarian communism and the socialist ideas proposed by Sanders and to a lesser extent Clinton?

It's one thing to argue that America needs to have different priorities than places like Denmark in order to keep the world safe. That's a valid opinion, even if I don't necessarily agree with it. It's another thing to pretend the Democrats want to turn America into North Korea. That simply has no basis in fact and it arises from a very low-information, anti-critical thinking view of the world.
