A. Ulis

I have been trying to tell this board for a long time...

A. Uhlis is longer, bigger, and a more skilled shooter than his older brother - who would be a longtime NBA player if he was just 2-3 inches taller...

He was tremendous. I'm not getting into certain players need to sit and others play (the coach sees them every day in practice). With that said, he did exactly what he should. Got the ball to the right guy, drove and scored when he had the chance, didn't turn it over or force things.

PG is the weakspot on this team. The position regardless who is running it allows too much space on D. Has been terrible at transition D and can bog down the offense at times. Ahron played the position well today when asked. Having him and Joe Toussaint in the wings for the future at the position is a good thing for Iowa basketball. Will allow Connor to play off the ball more where he will be a key link to the offensive flow and grabbing rebounds when the post guys swing out to the arch.

I'd say Tousaint doesn't allow enough space on defense most of the time.

He picks up atleast 1 foul a game body bumping a ballhandler for no reason.

In my book he earned more PT today. Controlled offensive effort and looked good on D. Joe T better step it up.
I was initially shocked to see him in there, then in comes Perkins and I believe JBo was in for some of the same time and I thought "what the hell are we doing, are we inviting them to shoot over us with a 3 every time down the floor!". Anyway, I don't recall Ulis doing anything bad or stupid, which is a good thing.

Lot of chaos in this game and it was tight throughout, and he didn't blink. Nice job.

Ulis was great today, very poised. Future looks great with him at point
He really was, and I agree on the latter it does. Kind of like an Offensive Lineman when dealing with a true freshman point guard, you dont really want to hear their name that much, cause its likely not good. Ha! He was damn near invisible in that sense. Well done kid.

I would agree with that but actually don't mind Toussaint playing that tight. My post had more to do with Bohannon who allows way too much space and Connor who is always playing off his back foot. Both of them fail to cutoff the transition as well. Bohannon was terrible at that today.
