A vast majority of liberals don’t give a damn about Ukraine

Libs are viewing this as a team support. Backing Biden's play from the start. Social media was filled with the Ukraine flag at the start. Then it dissappeared. Now it's back.

In a perfect world, Russia would be defeated and face the consequences of their invasion. This isn't a perfect world. Peace should be sought based on the realities on the ground.

You're a hack, joke and a MAGA dunce. The end

The realities are that Russia has been devastated, in no small part because of US money and weapons. Why should Russia be granted anything when they started the fight and got their asses handed to them in the fight?

Well I’m part Ukrainian and I still have family there so, yeah, I care.
I hope they are safe, I can’t imagine living in a war torn country. The footage I’ve seen of the attacks, before and afters…it’s horrifying. I’m a big fan of boxers from Ukraine and know they have volunteered to fight for their country, truly amazing.

Do you feel Zelenskyy should make a mineral deal with the US, knowing they can’t disclose the security assurances and make promises Ukraine deserves?

Why would they make a mineral deal without security assurances?

You can’t disclose that kind of info…showing your whole hand. Probably not negotiated yet with Russia? I know Russia can’t be trusted. But the US deserves to recoup its money and they risk having interest there, having skin in the game I think benefits Ukraine. If they want to continue to fight I understand why DT wants out. There is going to have to be compromise. No way Russia gives land back.

Maybe DT played Zelenskyy so that Europe would step up?

We are already slowly starting to see the results. In the other Ukraine circle jerk thread guys are breathlessly posting the EU meeting and announcement today. They forgot to read they part about Europe making overtures to the US, and stating clearly they can't do it alone.

I see that a lot of here. They post social media that doesn't make their case then try to spike the football while in the real world, people laugh at them. I though initially it was on purpose. But the more I read their posts I don't think they're smart enough to do this, I think they just don't read or understand what they post.

Good news, bad news. I'm not sure they are representative of mainstream Democrats. I hope they are, becuase they aren't going to win an election very soon if they are.

I know they don’t want any deal that allows Russia to keep any stolen land. Is that the consensus? I don’t know. My relatives are from Mariupol area so maybe the people from Kiev or western Ukraine feel differently.

I just don’t see Putin giving it back. I believe the mineral reserves are in some parts of the stolen land which could make things interesting but someone would have to confirm.

Ukraine gets invaded and MAGA supports Russia to troll the libs.
Why did Zalensky meet with Democrat Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal who advised him to reject the terms of the mineral the president was offering?

Murphy's office posted on X that they "just finished meeting with President Zalensky here in Washington. He confirmed that the people of Ukraine will not support a fake peace agreement where Putin gets everything he wants and there are no security arrangements for Ukraine," Murphys office posted at 11:15 a.m. Friday. An hour before Zalensky met with Trump.

Zalensky had twice refused to sign the mineral deal after promising to, and thanks to Murphy, we now know he had no intention of signing it Friday... Like the original Russia hoax that consumed much of Trumps first term, Russia 2.0 is born of political desperation. ~ Michael Goodwin, New York Post.

I don't think it matters what political side you are on. All people (patriots) that care about the United States should support Ukraine. If that's non-sequitur in your head you need to stop ingesting russian state media talking points for one second and pick up some history books on the dynamic between the US and Russia post wwII.
Ok fine. Define what you mean by 'support Ukraine'. That is what matters, not platitudes.

Please take the time to reply with a real answer. I am genuinely interested in what you 'We Stand with Ukraine' folks are wanting us to do.

It should be clear that Trump and his ilk are being criticized for their lack of moral clarity -- see rhetoric pertaining to Ukraine/Zelensky -- and possible lack of allyship with Europe/NATO.

Not on the basis of wanting to spend less in Europe or X conflict. (the idea of less American dollars going to defense in Europe isn't anything new)

If Trump fully backed Ukraine, libs wouldn't put up their dumb ass Ukraine signs.

You don’t say? What a ****ing stupid post.

You do realize if the orange turd backed Ukraine there would be no reason to fly their dumbass Ukraine “signs” right? Do I need to explain to you why the “signs” are being “put up?” Hopefully not you dummy.

Let’s start with not completely ambushing Zelensky in front of the world while appearing to back our longtime enemy. How about that for starts? Second. How about working out a deal that benefits all in some way shape or form? How about that?

Why does your side support Russia on this issue?

They just hate Trump.

The way the United States conducts foreign policy has repercussions that go far beyond who the current President is. The GOP under Trump has completely changed the way the United States conducts foreign policy, I believe the GOP’s current approach to foreign policy weakens the United States in where our Country fits in globally. Decisions made today go far beyond feelings about Trump.

Why did Senate Democrats sabotage the mineral rights deal?
