Was it ugly? Yes
Did the offense look bad? Yes
It feels good to FINALLY win a bowl game though.

We said all week that BC wasn't a very good team. Now granted... it took multiple starters being sidelined to increase Iowa's chances for a win, but the crappy field and a team similar to ours was just what the doctor ordered.
The key was a freshman qb being a backup. I think you know that but your comment has more to do with posts on another forum, where you continually get owned!Vs our 5 starters out.
I believe the hawks would have but the field didn’t allow it. Iowa was getting a good push in the second half.Should have blown them out
Was Iowa also not missing multiple starters on both sides of the ball? At minimum, Jackson, Ike, Myers, ISM, Taylor, Snyder. Kind of the way things are this time of year for most teams. We said all week that BC wasn't a very good team. Interestingly it seemed the Boston college backs fell down a lot more, trying to do to much. No dancing from Wadley which helped him stay upright imoThat field reminded me of my childhood and trying to play football on a waxed linoleum floor wearing fuzzy wool socks. Wadley just could not use all his tools in the running game.

I thought the Hawks had much better grip on that ice rink in the second half. Did they all change shoes at halftime? I don't recall during any of the talk of shoes showing pics of Iowa cleats, it looked like it was only BC changing shoes during that first half. Is it possible that they did not have alternate shoes on the field, only in the locker room? It was a tale of two halves after all.
Iowa is not affiliated with ESPN....Hard to say. I don't remember any shots of Iowa's sidelines during the game, either. Maybe one or two of Kirk, but that was it. Plenty of shots of Boston College, though, for whatever reason.

Florida State went 6-6 this year...I'm thinking the posters that think we should blow out a team that beat teams like Florida St are the same ones that expect us to win 10 or 11 games every year.
