People who can’t separate actors from roles cause so much damage.

This was my first thought as well. I wasn't very familiar with his other roles though. He was only in 5 movies but they were all classicsJohn Cazale played weak and treacherous like no one else.
I have yet to watch anything where this guy is not a douchebag
He was perfect in The Bear.......literally made you HATE the f*cking guy.

The great character actor Joe Pantoliano:
I saw him in episode of MASH recently. His character was trying to use a dead soldier's orders to go home. Changed his dog tags and all. Real POS move by character.
And his best role as weasel Moscone bail bondsman in the underrated Midnight Run:
Midnight Run is definitely underrated. Grodin was hysterical in it.
Not many movies make me laugh out loud but that is one of them.
God damn national treasure. Happy was the douchebag.
He is one of my favorite actors. Terrific range. But I would put Edward Norton on that list of weasel type actors (mostly because of The Italian Job and Glass Onion ) even though I think he's one of the most talented ones out there.
Don’t forget about rounders. I wanted to punch him through that entire movie.
He had a character arc in Star Trek, and Cohaagen in Total Recall that stand out to me as well.
But he turned out to be a likeable good guy in Beverly Hills cop.
