Aj's enrollment

Let's hold judgement on AJ too at this point. He was at the meet with 2 high character Hawks. Obviously he's doing the right things now. He didn't just show up on his own, the staff, team, and school are in.
He F*cked up, he appears to be trying to right the ship.

Let's give him a chance.
he has already had multiple chances!

The moral high horse is strong in this thread.
Accusing people of being on a moral high horse usually works a lot better when they’re being hypocritical and have done things similar to or worse than the person they’re looking down upon.

Maybe I’m naïve, but I’m guessing well over 90% of this board would not fall into that category.

Does it though?

Does innocent until proven guilty mean nothing anymore? He was acquitted of sexual battery charges. None of us know what really happened, but it isn’t fair to just assume someone is guilty because they have been accused of something.
Only in a court of law does it mean anything. Also don’t you technically have to go to trial to be acquitted?

Maybe the term should be charged dropped. Yeah it’s just unfortunate if the accusations are false. I’m not saying they are in this case (obviously I don’t know). It is definitely not fair to just be like “Oh he’s a douche, he must have done it.”

Which makes me question the whole thing to begin with. If that truly happened to you, why wouldn’t you pursue justice? Why would you just “let it go?”

"Why wouldn't you want to go through the humiliating process of defense lawyers picking apart your personal life and sexual history while making you relive the experience over and over again in your head for over a year all for a very low chance at conviction because it usually comes down to he said-she said?"

We don't know what happened and likely never will. Our justice system is designed to let guilty people go to make sure as few innocent people are convicted as possible, and imo opinion that's the lesser of two evils, so fine by me.

But there's a reason there are so few charges and convictions for sexual assault. The system is ill-equipped to handle that specific crime due to its nature. There's very rarely any independent evidence to prove guilt or innocence. That doesn't mean women are just making it up.

Ferrari is here so the main thing we can hope is that 1) he was innocent after all or 2) He wasn't, but he's changed as a person and will be a good person moving forward.

Yeesh.

Just go with +1 or like it, and leave it at that. That was a fair post while your point here is at best tone deaf.
Maybe. I guess I’m not a fan of dragging someone’s name through the mud if something isn’t accurate. Especially something of this nature. If it’s true, don’t point fingers and back off.

SA aside, I think there was enough there to be wary because he has had some WTF moments. The car wreck. Never record anything on your phone that you aren't willing to share over the internet etc. Hopefully, he has learned some important lessons. Being really good at something does not make you bulletproof. It may earn him a second chance, and in some cases third chances but it will eventually catch up to him if he keeps on keeping on.

If Tom and the admin are ok with it, then so am I because I know **** all about the case beyond what's been printed.

“The young woman who is at the center of this matter has endured in the last year vicious attacks on multiple forms of social media, continuing trauma, blame, harassment, ostracism and indirect threats to her career,” Thomas’ motion stated.

“She has made the very difficult decision after consultation with her family that her further involvement is much less important than her health, a career that she loves and the ugliness and hatred that she encounters and suffers each time this matter progresses into the next step.”

It was.opportunity to prove to everyone that she was right, and get the justice she deserves. And as Chief mentioned, the staff and admin are okay with it. They know far more about it than any of us.

Doubling down is a bold move.

Regardless, your last two sentences are less cringy and far more lucid.

And Desanto wanted to change.
LMaO. You are still here? Not getting enough attention in the PSU board? Spending your own time stirring shit on another teams board by taking shots at the character of people in that program is a great look. Is the desire to be a drama queen that strong or does that laser sharp character barometer in you just not work when looking in the mirror?

This threads wild. Forgive me if I’m wrong here but weren’t the charges dropped or not pursued? Idk. I’m not In the mind of guilting someone when not. He may be a bad cookie may not be. But until he’s guilty of sexual assault I say come on board.

The Ferraris very much could turn the program completely around with the shit in the cupboard. That’s what it’s all about. Sometimes you gotta flirt with fire in order to win again. If we ain’t raping murdering or stealing then wtf we bitching about

I did some dumb shit when I was 19/20. I would have hated to never had a second chance because I was young and dumb

The actions of our past should never define our future. It’s a matter of change that should be judged.

Just my opinion of course

A convenient ideology. Maybe you're different, but most people aren't affording that same grace to, say, OJ Simpson or Casey Anthony. Another example, would you have let Michael Jackson babysit your kids? And on and on. Innocent until proven guilty applies only in a courtroom, throughout history.

He’s sitting with two high character hawks so it appears he is really trying hard to behave? Okay.
No it means that he is doing what's needed to earn the respect of his teammates. He's also following the rules set forth by the University and TNT.
Did you not read my post? You think he just showed up on campus uninvited? Lol
You cherry picked the part about him sitting with Gabe and Ben, ignored the rest?

Here comes a defender now. Funny how they pop up out of nowhere suddenly.
I've been consistent since the rumors started. You're calling him a pos so surely you've got ample personal experience dealing with AJ to make such a character assessment?

...are you saying that you only make decisions about people's character that you know? I'm not sure your political persuasion, but I'm sure you feel the other guy (this works either way, so I'm not trying to have a political debate) is somewhere between buffoon and criminal without ever having met them. Hell, 80% of this board has judged Cael Sanderson without ever having met him. That's our right as Americans.

Look, I'm not going to judge the people that are going rah rah for AJ Ferrari if/when he signs up. You're all adults, you can make your own decisions. But Ferrari isn't exempt from public discourse OR judgment for his past behaviors.

Depends on issues of past. Some things stick and dont deserve chances. His situation feels like dayton racer situation. I hope not for the sake of girls on campus

Many of you would have fit right in at the Salem Witch trials.

Really? It's an analogy. Lol
You're smarter than that.
Stop it.
It's a terrible one. You live in 2023. Are you trying to tell me that you alone in society have not judged people based on the information you get thru public means?

Comparing him to Casey Anthony and OJ is crazy. They went to a televised trial, you could see the evidence and both arguments, and it was obvious they had the right jury to get off. If this was the case with AJ, you opinion of his guilt would be more credible.
