Alaric Jackson tweeted that he has had a great time in Iowa City, since
Friday night.

If Farniok and Jackson both end up as bugeaters I will simply question their intelligence and be happy we dodged two bullets in this class. I'm actually insulted they are considering that program over us.

They are the same kids no matter where they go, so if they don't end up at Iowa you didn't dodge anything. I am new, but for the love of all that's holy, what is with some of you? Regionally we compete with everyone in the Bigten for players. Some of you have a way over inflated view of what you think our program is, we have to compete with neb, wisc, minn etc...for these players and with the new facilities we have a better shot at getting some of these guys. Maybe you're just fishing for trolls?

I think the point of the post you're responding to is that it simply doesn't make a ton of sense for any offensive lineman who wants to play in the NFL to pick Nebraska over Iowa. Kirk and Brian will do a far better job of teaching offensive line play and prepping guys for the next level than the staffs at Nebraska, Minnesota or Wisconsin and coming off the season we just had, you'd think kids would wanna be a part of that.

This simply Nails it.

I'm not so sure about Nebraska's coaches now. They will be a force in the B1G. And recruits see that.

Not hardly...Mediocre Mike will continue to do what he does best, post 5-7 win seasons with the occasional 8 or 9 win season. He will beat a team he shouldn't and lose to two or so sucky teams.

Don't think he is there. Saw where the Detroit foursome got back to Detroit awhile ago.

OK, now I am confused. Lattimore, Jackson, Golston, and who is the fourth recruit? Thanks for the enlightenment in advance.

I think our chances with Jackson are better after his visit. Hope Mr. King showed the young men around Iowa City.

LOLOL that's funny stuff

I dislike the Nubs as much as the next guy, but WOW has this season given the Hawkeye fanbase an inflated sense of worth.

Iowa would definitely be the little brother in that relationship. Didn't Nubby whip you guys statistically in just about every measurable category except the final score?

I mean c'mon, if that head case QB they had doesn't gift wrap interceptions for Iowa all game long, you really think you win that game? If I remember right, I read that Iowa didn't even convert a third down all game? Nubs had like twice as many yards? Twice the time of possession? Lulz... And wouldn't that have made the series like 5-1 or 4-1 or something, in favor of Nubs since they joined our conference.

Heck, you guys barely squeezed out a victory against us at home and this year was a disaster for Minnesota football.

Silly hawk fans. Be happy you rolled thru that cake schedule you had last year dodging all the top teams in the B1G, but deep down you know you will eventually return to your place on the totem pole.

Iowa history with OL to the NFL > Nubs
....and our program is clearly going in the right direction as opposed to theirs.
....not too mention Iowa City >>>> Lincoln.

You Goofs need to learn to stay in your lane.

Funny post coming from a Gopher fan. If you want to play that game, Iowa's place is at least a couple of steps up the proverbial totem pole from Minny. Truth be told, the difference among the top West Division programs isn't enough to crown anyone a prohibitive annual favorite. You can thank your lucky stars the real blue bloods all reside in the other division, at least for now.

Don't let the facts get in the way of your story Goofer.

Since they joined the B1G, they have a 3-2 advantage in the 5 games, including the win where the Hawks choked away a 14 or 17 point lead in the 4th quarter. Otherwise, it is 3-2 Iowa.

Next year's game is in Iowa City.

Go back and read my post again.

Nebraska is ahead 3-2 since joining the conference, but 95% of the time when a team gets doubled up on total yards (like 450 to 220 or something absurd like that), half as much time of possession, can't convert a single third down the ENTIRE game...that's a loss.

Iowa was very very very fortunate that ol' Tommy Headcase had a terrible game and literally gave it away - otherwise Nubby would be 4-1 heads up vs Iowa, instead of 3-2.

The arrogance of Hawks fans and their opinion of how they stack up versus Debby Nebby as a program is hilarious.

Seems like just last week you all wanted HCKF fired, now suddenly Iowa is trending upwards because they ran thru the easiest Non-con AND conference schedule I have seen in years? Lol, ok..

I'm still wanting to know how Detroit was.
