Always thought Hayden's Tiger Hawk was cool looking and gave Iowa an Identity. Never cared for your steeler looking uniforms your throw backs were much better.

We have Adidas and they suck at alternate uniforms.

If they look anything like the overall all black they seem to be I think that's great and I am 66. A little extra something for the players and the fans. The players sure have earned them week after week in practice and conditioning. I am all for tradition but this type of change up can be a motivator for these guys. More power too them....

I think it's a combination of both the size of the Iowa and the bolded numbers. Seems off.

The rest seems fine based on what we can see.

I think they look good. I'd lose the 1980 thigh pads though. And the stripe on the helmet.

Morehouse has stated that those are NOT the game helmet.

I would bet they wait until game day to reveal the helmets to the players. I think that would be cool.

I would not be surprised to see matte black helmets with no stripe and just a Tigerhawk. Not sure if the Tigerhawk would be modified for this or not.

If this is the uniform and the helmet, I think it would be great.

As much as I'm looking forward to the alternate uniforms, I think the team's performance has given me much more to look forward to on 11/14 than what they'll be wearing. Having a fantastic atmosphere for a November night game certainly won't hurt, but there's plenty to look forward to with this team, even if they weren't wearing an alternate.

No way.

This was a major deal to get these done and it was 6 months out. I just don't see any scenario where KF does a spurt of the moment alternate uni. Not in his DNA.

Is that really the helmet? I don't like it at all. I'm not a fan of the oversized logos that have become more popular lately.

Then again I'm not a fan of most of the uniform styles that have come out lately, so I must just be out of touch. Aside from this helmet though, I think these uniforms look really promising.

IF we are talking blackout alt uni night: I would like to see them take the stripe off and the numbers on the back; go matte black with a shinny black sticker

I would have to say, for the most part, most of the alternate jersey's I have seen to me are damn ugly. Nebraska's and Ohio State's all black with the matte finished helmets and hard to see red numbers are awful, I don't care for Northwestern's, Indiana has some cool and some weird. Oregon, I don't know if they even have normal jersey's anymore, Butt ugly is the norm out there. Of course, all my opinions.......LOL No way Iowa's can suck compared to some of these, unless sucking was the ultimate goal.
