I would say that is for sure, NOT the helmet for the Minnesota game.
Nobody knows what it looks like yet, but I'm fairly confident that the helmet for the "blackout" game is not gold.
No. That was made by some guy on the internet that makes up helmet concepts for lots of teams. You can probably find his page if you Google it.
Would like to see a matte black with a shiny black or metallic tiger hawk. No stripes no numbers.

Kinda like OSU's alternate black uni:

Had a few minutes to fool around. I'm not too keen on anything I came up with, but fun to explore the idea anyway.
I kind of like the top row, middle design. Has a certain egyptian pharaoh look to it but it is classy.
At this point, to be really original, cant we just stick with what we have?
I think throwbacks or Veterans Day alternatives are acceptable once in a while, but beyond that it's just flash. Iowa has never been about flash or begging for attention.

Please let it be the outline, this would look so much better than a solid tigerhawk with the blackout uniforms!
