I can’t envision a ‘political correctness’ angle to assail human driving.No, just the political winds blowing that way.
I can imagine news stories that say, "A major crash occurred on the freeway today, sparked by a human driver who disrupted the algorithm."
The argument will be made by data. Insurance companies will not read the data with ‘political correctness’ in mind.
The extra risk of human drivers will probably carry greater costs. It’ll fade as an option like manual transmissions.
