I was there. UFO was the opening act and pretty much got booed off the stage after 3 or 4 songs. Tull was incredible

I went to a Tull concert during their ‘Thick as a Brick’ tour in Chicago at the old Black Hawks Stadium in 1972. They came to Des Moines and when to that in 1973 or 4. Loved them then, but lost interest for some reason.

Saw them at the Aragon Ballroom around the time Stand Up was released, maybe 69.
Sat on the floor, general admission as the way it always went back then.
Good show as I remember, but looking back, loud guitar music with a guy playing the flute on one leg would of course appeal to an 18 year old.

IMO. JT and MB are on a higher level than the others on flute.
