Tips on where to stay, eat, get tix and/or where to sit? Should be a great meet. Wonder if SL will be rolling by then.
Hyatt Place, Days Inn, The Scholar, and The Graduate are all downtown hotels that you can walk from. The food in State College is average, but there are decent meals to be had. Downtown, The Tavern (recently renovated and improved), Central Reservations, and Federal Taphouse are decent. Happy valley Brewing (short drive) is good. All seating is pretty good in The BJC. Tickets will have to be purchased on secondary seller web-sites. You'll have to suck it up $$$.Tips on where to stay, eat, get tix and/or where to sit? Should be a great meet. Don't forget to wear your favorite skinny jeans.Theres a really nice place on college ave named Chumleys.
Tell them Carey Mahoney sent you!
Funny, when Ohio State and Iowa are bringing in top classes, some PSU fans grow restless and think they are cleaning our clocks. I really haven't dug into but to me it always seems the years Iowa gets a good class, PSU doesn't and vice versa. Like I said, I haven't looked much to see if I'm right but for awhile there it seemed to me that Iowa and tOSU were on the same cycle in getting kids and PSU and OK St. on another. Most of the Top 10 P4P recruits at this point, sigh.
There are several fairly large state correction institutions within an hour's drive of State College, so there should be plenty of rooms.Just remember that the campus is in the middle of nowhere and just a few miles from the State Penitentiary.

You need to check your cycles. look at the top ten pfp brought in year in and out.Funny, when Ohio State and Iowa are bringing in top classes, some PSU fans grow restless and think they are cleaning our clocks. I may need to do that when I get time. You need to check your cycles. look at the top ten pfp brought in year in and out.
JTS,I may need to do that when I get time.
I think I'm ok. Dr. Zierath up'd my medication. I think I'll be able to behave but not entirely certain of it...JTS,
You're posting way too much over here. You could easily relapse.
Do we need to have an intervention?

You guys don’t need top recruiting classes when you land so many top recruits, imo. Get two top tens every year and it should be enough to stack a team and deal with a hole or two in the process.I may need to do that when I get time.
Or the Turkish Delight either. He’s not going to see Fetterman!
What are you even talking about? Iowa has 3 of the top 10 2023 recruits! Keuter, Jesuroga and Arnold. Hell, they even have the #24 Block as well. On top of all that, they have Chittum coming in after a grey shirt. Most of the Top 10 P4P recruits at this point, sigh.
Let’s hope Keuter actually wrestles. What are you even talking about? Iowa has 3 of the top 10 2023 recruits! Keuter, Jesuroga and Arnold. Hell, they even have the #24 Block as well. On top of all that, they have Chittum coming in after a grey shirt.
This is BY FAR the best recruiting run Iowa has EVER had under Brands. One of your worst takes in while…

I'm already senile. I was just walking past that site 2 weeks ago...duh.The Days Inn was torn down.
This duel is at the shooting range, I’m guessing. The janitor at the gym was complaining about chipped bricks and bullet holes in windows.Guessing they wont be holding this duel in their high school gym. How hard will it to be to get a couple of tickets?

I might try to go as well. Sadly, the game-stopper is my goddaughter's cheer competitions. As long as it doesn't conflict with Indy or Louisville I might take the plunge. Would love to see the Hawks try to pull off the upset! As for the tickets, I'm sure, just like here in Iowa, there are a few peeps on their board who would be kind enough to sell you a ticket. At least I think they would to those of us who haven't gone on their site just to be dicks (I'm thinking that's most of us). I'm curious to see how it compares to CHA. I would like to go there and to Okie State for duals in the next few years.Guessing they wont be holding this duel in their high school gym. How hard will it to be to get a couple of tickets?
That guy's from New Jersey, anyway.Or the Turkish Delight either.

Who are some of these reasonable Hawk posters that were run off over there? I'm struggling to think of just one. I guess if I were to name one, Chief would be a great example but I'm not so sure he was run off considering he's well respected and well liked by everyone there including me. He just sadly quit posting much. Also, JMadden, JS, JRod a few other Hawk fans still frequent the place. The 3 I named are some of my favorites to be honest....funny, entertaining and give us pushback when we need it...and boy do we need it at times.I don't have thick enough skin to post over there. I've seen them run off quite a few reasonable Hawk posters over the years although that seems to have improved a little since snotglue is no longer a moderator. I do read frequently since there is a good handful posters who are very knowledgeable about wrestling.

Lol. You'll have to forgive me. I'm in denial...FIFY 😉

The only time I was ever in Pennsylvania was the 1999? Nattys and as we were leaving on Saturday nite I remember we drove past a penitentiary someplace around the college.I was at Penn State when they brought in the convicts at Bellefonte to clear the snow out of Beaver Stadium.

PSU vs Iowa in enemy territory is on the bucketlist so I'll probably try my hand the old fashioned way when they open up for single ticket sales. I've already done Stillwater a few times and it is awesome. I can highly recommend the Gallagher experience.

It seems, in the past anyway, that when we land a great class we don't get any studs for a couple years after. I hope Tom, next year, instead of getting a few "room guys" signs at least 1 more stud for a needed weight. If Arnold will be a 184 we're going to need a stud 197. We will also need a stud 174 immediately also. I see Chittum at 157 and Riggins at 165. All the rest of our studs coming in will be at 149 and below except Kueter obviously. What are you even talking about? Iowa has 3 of the top 10 2023 recruits! Keuter, Jesuroga and Arnold. Yep, that is very, very important. The hard part of that is that if you focus on one guy and don't get him, you end up with close to nothing in those off years. That is what makes PSU's recruiting so crazy, when they go all in on someone they pretty much get that person every time...It seems, in the past anyway, that when we land a great class we don't get any studs for a couple years after. I’m not sure Iowa goes “all in,” on many recruits?Yep, that is very, very important.
