the way I see it - I compare it to having a family member who is gravely ill and not given much if any chance to live and miraculously survives. But a week after celebrating there recovery, is hit by a car and killed. Yeah it sucks that it happened, but they weren't supposed to be alive anyways (sort of gallows irony if you will).

You could say the same thing for Iowa - yeah it sucks they got it handed to them in the rose bowl, but yet again most of us here were probably thinking a Cap One bowl was the best case scenario in the preseason.

Feels more like we walked up to a blackjack table with $20, turned it into $200, but lost one big hand $50hand at the end. You walked away with $150 so it was a better run than you figured when you walked in with $20, but that last hand will always stick in your craw and put damper on what was an otherwise great ride.

I think it's more like fishing in bad conditions, getting 12 good catches leading up to catchIng a monster that ends up eating all your day's catch then escaping.

I have dropped 40 on table and ran it up to $360 in 20 minutes. Not telling how I did it. But, stayed on table and lost it all. So I been there.
