Apparently we want to do Jurassic Park for real?

I mean, as long as they don't fill in DNA gaps using DNA strands from animals that a) change genders or b) change colors, and they don't try to cross the biggest, most aggressive dinosaurs to get newer, bigger, scarier dinosaurs, then they should be fine!

We can't clone the moa, tasmanian tiger, mammoth or mastodon, for which we have soft tissue or full specimens and we're going to make dinosaurs. Ok then. I don't think lay people realize the complexities of genomes, cells and whole organisms. Our current tech is at the kindergarten level of molecular biology. This is why many diseases, including cancer, kill with impunity. Many many many decades to go. Think about the advances we've made since the civil war. Now try to visualize that same time period moving forward. Maybe by then we'd have workable tech.

I think this was the very last movie we went to and actually stood in line for a ticket.
And it was worth the wait.
