I don’t carry a gun and have zero authority and my company would fire me in a second if someone showed them social media posts of mine promoting and supporting white supremacy. I agree they really are going to have to start getting rid of these folks who are not even trying to hide it.
The Stone and Manafort pardons definitely DID NOT cover all charges that were originally filed or alleged. I would certainly love to see both charged for their unpardoned charges. I mean, how sweet would it be to see Roger Stone sentenced to a significant prison term after doing a victory dance after commutation and then rubbing the subsequent pardon in the prosecutor's noses,

I was going to post this. I saw Katyal on Lib TV a few days ago and he said he, and many other lawyers, had noticed the flaws, but he wasn’t going public until after Wednesday.
I don’t care about Vander Fleet or the coffee boy, but I’d love to see that smug bastard Stone go to prison, and Manafort got out because he bought a pardon with his silence. F him. He can die in prison.

Things are unraveling, quickly, for the Radical Right. The ones that don't end up in jail will forever be branded as the cowards they are. Brave and bold when they outnumber law enforcement 100 to 1, quivering in fear in a fair fight.

This is what I want. One thing I have learned in 23 years of teaching is that NOT giving meaningful consequences DOES NOT work. If we just let these people off with some bullshit trespassing ticket it will encourage others, or them to do it again. These people need to be shown that this will not stand. It's really imperative.
I think my stance on punishing people who commit crimes is pretty well established on here.

i’m curious to see how this plays out with some of the journalists who rushed inside to cover the story. Will their media status shield them?
I'm hoping they would be pretty low on the priority list.

Funny, I was wondering similar. If merely being in the structure is what is needed for trespassing, then potentially yes. However, that is just a gateway charge for most of the cases, and the real evidence actually comes FROM the documentation the press is providing.
According to DC Code§22-3302, a trespass can occur on either private land or public land. In addition, trespassing can occur either when a defendant enters land without permission or overstays a welcome.
Ironic that a lot of the evidence will be because they didn't have masks on. Dumbasses
