Arrests of the Traitors coming in now

As chief law enforcement officer of the Senate, the Sergeant at Arms is charged with maintaining security in the Capitol and all Senate buildings, as well as protection of the members themselves. The Sergeant at Arms serves as the executive officer of the Senate for enforcement of all rules of the Committee on Rules and Administration regulating the Senate wing of the Capitol and the Senate office buildings and has responsibility for and immediate supervision of the Senate floor, Chamber, and galleries.

The Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) is the largest in size of staff and budget in the Senate. It is responsible for all Senate computers and technology support services, recording and photographic services, printing and graphics services, and telecommunications services. The SAA also provides assistance to all Senate offices with their staffing, mailing, purchasing, and financial needs. The offices of the SAA that are responsible for providing these and other services include Capitol Facilities, the Operations Division, Customer Relations, Financial Operations, Human Resources, and Information Security. The SAA also shares responsibility for the U.S. Capitol Police, the Senate Page Program, the Senate Office of Training and Development, and the Capitol Telephone Exchange.

Nobody else could have called in reinforcement .. just in case?

Since 1828, the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) has provided protection for Congress. Over time, the force has grown in numbers, duties, and responsibilities.

USCP officers work to protect life and property; prevent, detect, and investigate criminal acts; and enforce traffic regulations throughout a large complex of congressional buildings, parks, and thoroughfares. Additionally, USCP officers are responsible for protecting members and officers of Congress and their families. USCP serves throughout the U.S. and its territories and possessions.

Or the US capitol police would be the other... Both fall under the jurisdiction of the legislative branch... who is in charge of the legislative branch of government?

Is there anyone else that could have made 1/6 more secure? I hope you aren't going to go down the Nancy Pelosi rabbit hole.

No one "dropped the ball"

They PLANNED for it; for MINIMAL resistance.

And YES, it is the EXECUTIVE branch who holds ultimate responsibility.
I've already posted from the official government sites that say otherwise, but thanks for playing I believe anything the media tells me.

The Executive Branch is responsible.

Congress has SOME capability, but that is NOT their primary responsibility. Which is WHY they asked for backup that never came.

The Office of the Chief Security Officer (OSCO) is responsible for the maintenance, care and operation of the buildings, grounds and security enhancements of the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) and other facilities.

It provides centralized security and resilience operations for the Capitol campus, manages the Architect of the Capitol's (AOC) internal security programs and perimeter security, coordinates interagency emergency preparedness and supports the USCP in protecting, policing and providing security for the congressional community and its visitors.

Sure seems as though its multiple people's responsibility but no where does the government say its on the executive branch

So?

Exec Branch is responsible for security of the NATION

And they FAILED to prevent the march on the Capitol. FAILED to warn the Capitol police, FAILED to call up backup for them when it was obvious the Capitol did not have enough manpower.

So, to be clear. If you fight off dozens of thugs attempting to enter your house for hours, and fail, it’s your fault as the home owner?
Got it.
