As much as I dislike the Badgers Paul Chryst is a class act

And a hell of a football coach.. he knows what it takes to win but you can’t deny his success as great coach, great person and actually nice to listen to a humble guy just like our very own KF..
No. Don't give them an excuse to beat Iowa.

Wisconsin is evil and needs to be vanquished. There is no other truth.

He’s a good fit for Wisconsin and certainly the exact opposite personality of his rival “look at me” Gopher coach. He didn’t do anything special at Pitt 10-13 conf. and 19-19 overall. I would question how well he would do outside if Wisconsin. Nothing really to dislike about him.

I know nothing about him. Did you have something specific you were thinking of?

It's refreshing to hear positive stuff about people who represent the B1G TEN. After Joe Paterno's disgrace and being in the era of Michigan State and Urban Meyer, it's refreshing to know there are still positive leaders in the B1G. I'm just curious.

I won't deny he is a class act but as a coach who really knows how good he is. He wasn't accomplishing anything at Pitt. Barry just has that program humming. Look at Bielma and Anderson, both very successful at wisco and both underperformed at their next stop. Heck, even last year they had a DC with no real coaching experience (NFL Guy), and he did very well. I think if your willing to buy into Barry's ways, it's a pretty ideal environment to win as a coach. They have had a ton of coaching turnover within the last 5 or so years and still stay consistent.

Chryst is just the figurehead. It’s still King Barry’s baby.

Assuming BA retires before Chryst leaves, we’ll see his true mettle. Wisky will almost certainly take a step back athletics-wise.

Not certain by any means. The succession plan is already in place.

I strongly suspect the same thing that Hawkinmo above alluddes to. I am aware of his record at Pitt, and plan on starting a thread on this subject (re: what is really going on at Wisconsin?) if someone else does not beat me to the punch.

also tend to concur wit this statement. not saying chryst is not the real deal, but just look at the other two coaches that Alvaraz ran off & how well they did after Wisconsin. just makes you wonder.

Paul is the worst public speaker I've ever heard. I'd be embarrassed if he was the Junior High coach in our town.

But I know, he wins.

Screw Cryst and screw Wisconsin.

JHC people, get your game faces on. The season is just around the corner. Time to hate!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes he doesn't sound like the brightest bulb on the tree but he has taken the blueprint that BA modeled after Hayden and ran with it. Narduzzi would not have had any of the success he has at Pitt if Paul Chryst hadn't laid the groundwork Why do you think BB left? Maybe had something to do with his OC heading to Pitt. I just think he is a pretty good offensive coach and as long as BA is the AD the Badgers are always gonna be good defensively. Doesn't mean I don't want to beat them like a ugly stepchild

Pretty good analysis, Chip.
For the BB apologists, ask yourself why CP went to Pitt.
