Doesn’t look like a guy who immediately uplifts the offense, but somebody who makes the QB room better. Competes with Sully for the job, and ensures we have a solid backup either way. Puts us in a better position for 2026.

I’d love to get a program-changer, but I’m not sure that guy is out there. And if he is, we probably get outbid for his services.

Watched all the film I could find. Not overly impressed. Throw a nice deep ball at times and seems to scan field well but off on some throws we are used to missing at iowa. Don’t think it’s an upgrade but a decent kid to have on roster. I like Sully more from the film I’ve watched.

But seriously, best to take the wait and see approach with any transfer. At the very least, one should probably have some confidence in Tim Lester’s ability to judge talent and fit.

Here's a dose of reality. There is no way Iowa is winning a national championship (the price tag is enormous) and probably not a BIG title unless all the stars in heaven line up. So you might as well enjoy the 8 or 9 wins the weather and the beer.

You just never know how these things will turn out. The kid clearly has some talent or Auburn wouldn’t have replaced their original starter with him for a couple games. He was a redshirt freshman this year. And best of all, Brian hasn’t been able to say shit to him to royally mess him up.

Maybe, just maybe, Tim Lester will actually have a positive impact on him and the kid turns out to be a decent quarterback for Iowa. At the very least, he can probably be a reliable backup who has actually had some game experience—unlike Deacon Hill and Marco Lainez.

Personally, I am on board with Sullivan being the starter in 2025. My greater concern is WRs and OL. Iowa has to fix that before the quarterback matters.
