What makes you smart on this issue? Are you a health care provider? You are not smart enough to be part of this conversation. You do not have any real knowledge about this stuff.
You and your cronies want to attack me, but nobody has the ability to tell me where I am wrong. I feel like I am talking to a middle schooler when I discuss things with you.
Lol - I asked a simple question. You are a coward. You are not smart enough to be part of this conversation. You do not have any real knowledge about this stuff.

OMG this is a serious question? Do you not realize that orientation and gender are two completely separate things? Do you not realize that nonbinary is transgender? From your timeline, they went from gay > bi > non-binary > trans?
How do you or they know what they really are? (Serious question)
He does his own research.OMG this is a serious question? Do you not realize that orientation and gender are two completely separate things? Do you not realize that nonbinary is transgender?
When they were in 7th and early 8th grade they had a "boyfriend". They were both so shy they would barely talk to each other, finally got to the point where they could hold hands and would give each other hugs at the end of the day. As cute as they were, it was never a real relationship.
They have just in the last year gotten more serious with their girlfriend. This has been as cautious of a relationship as their transition.
Love is love. Gender or sex is meaningless. We are really close to their girlfriend though. It's funny though, the girlfriend's mom is younger than two of my kids, just recently divorced and my single son, a bit younger took noticed of the not at all ugly mom. Could you imagine how awkward that would be?

It's been a tough session. That's just so frustrating and sad, bro.
yesWhat makes you smart on this issue? Are you a health care provider?
You are a health care provider? Really. A doctor or a nurse? I don't believe you based on your posting history.
Probably always, but things got really bad at puberty, maybe just before. How long and at what age did the gender dysphoria stuff present? Glad they're doing better
I could just see the introductions after the marriage, hi I'd like you to meet my stepdad and brother in law.
Believe what you want. You are a health care provider? Really. A doctor or a nurse? I don't believe you based on your posting history.
Put up or STFU. What role do you play in healthcare?Believe what you want.
You make it easy. If you are a provider I am the King of Denmark.Believe what you want.
Sorry, there is only one side making this political. The medical community can very well put safeguards in place. We do not need republican lawmakers doing that. That's not their job.I do not support a big brother society. I recognize the risks associated with implementing a law like this.
I believe society has a duty to look out for the well being of the people and I think that the gender identity issue has become too politically driven and the medical community has bought into it. Certain medical providers are being silenced and an open discussion is no longer being had.
In instances like this I support the law stepping in to protect kids. Adults have the ability to do what they want. So I have not bought in to laws to stop adults.
But I do support the medical community changing the standard to wait x amout of time before a person can transition. Gender dysphoria is a fluid diagnosis based on feelings. We know feelings change over time. If the medical community wants to be taken seriously, they will have to develop some standards and some diagnostic criteria related to gender dysphoria.
I appreciate that. I've been blessed with 6 wonderful kids. I got my greatest challenge/reward at the age of 44. The thought of starting over with all of that with their closest sister being 11 at the time was a bit scarry. Then while talking to a coworker, and asked what 54 year old man wouldn't give his left nut to have a 10 year old daughter to hang out with. You are awesome.
From the father of another teen who has gone thru hard times.
Yeah, I miss the tween years.I appreciate that. I've been blessed with 6 wonderful kids. I got my greatest challenge/reward at the age of 44. I got to see my youngest child and my oldest grandson graduate within 2 weeks. Both honors graduates. That was pretty cool.
Hmm, I had a 37 a year straight run of having a child in our school system. It's been a long run.Yeah, I miss the tween years.
On the other hand, we’re also looking forward to being empty nesters next fall. It’s been a trying couple years and we’re look forward to becoming a cute old drunk couple.![]()

OMG! Hold on guys! This is embarrassing!
It turns out the numbers I used from the CDC while being correct, aren't about Gender Dysphoria at all. They are about Autism.
How could I make a mistake like that?
Well it turns out there is a very strong correlation between Autism and Gender Dysphoria. If you are on the spectrum you are 3 time more likely to have Gender Dysphoria than people who are not. Neither condition is understood. The cause of both conditions are being debated, and there is a huge spike in both conditions.
So I will go back and change the tread title and the OP to reflect my mistake. Feel free to substitute ASD or Autistic to your post to help them make sense.
A lot of people on this thread are probably partially right.
Did you just do a switcharoo. I love a good switcharoo.
These are important points to help follow the thread.I did. I suck like that.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up those horrible memories of you failing 5th grade sex education.Well it is medically incorrect, so what would you call it?
I'm sorry you're too stupid to understand what intersex means. Your parents had such high hopes that you could make it in the mainstream world.I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up those horrible memories of you failing 5th grade sex education.
I am VERY well aware of people de-transitioning. There are many reasons for this. If my child comes to that decision, we will approach the process with the same cautious loving support as the transition.
There are no planned surgeries for my child at this point. Very likely non before they are 21 if even that soon. There has be little if any discussion of bottom surgery ever, and top surgery would likely be dependent on a partners input.
In my mind the most likely reason for de-transition is the person has never gotten to the point where they are comfortable with themself as they are, and unable to get comfortable with who they have become.
My point in all of these discussions is it should be a medical discussion with Medical professionals, not some ****ing idiot Republican law maker.
Who would have ever thought that autism would become one of those 'industries' deemed too big to fail?
As of this writing, governments at all levels in
the U.S. have difficulty even acknowledging the
size and scope of the growth in autism. Even though
the costs of autism are on par with or even exceed
the largest line items in the budget there is currently
no plan to meet this enormous fiscal challenge. In
the absence of a comprehensive plan to either raise
revenue or prevent autism through mitigation of
causal factors, the costs of autism represent a
serious threat to the economic future of the U.S.
Not everyone takes pride in wallowing in ignorance. Kudos for keeping it real.I stopped at "Autism Tsunami." Thanks for sharing this.

Autism and ADHD: Is BPA a contributing factor?
Scientists have found a possible link between the development of autism and ADHD and increased exposure to the common plastic additive BPA.www.medicalnewstoday.com
I have wondered about that, just in my random day dream thought exercises.
Mom's legs would be pretty ridged at this point.Damn vaccine stopped me from getting Covid a couple of weeks ago, but it really made my autism flare up when OPs mom leg locked me.

I've since seen connections being made between plastic and Autism.
We’re killing our children!!!! 🙄It's not just the autism.
Torch found that two-thirds of babies who had died from SIDS had been vaccinated against DPT (diphtheria–pertussis–tetanus toxoid) prior to death. Of these, 6.5% died within 12 hours of vaccination; 13% within 24 hours; 26% within 3 days; and 37%, 61%, and 70% within 1, 2, and 3 weeks, respectively. Torch also found that unvaccinated babies who died of SIDS did so most often in the fall or winter while vaccinated babies died most often at 2 and 4 months—the same ages when initial doses of DPT were given to infants. He concluded that DPT “may be a generally unrecognized major cause of sudden infant and early childhood death, and that the risks of immunization may outweigh its potential benefits. A need for re-evaluation and possible modification of current vaccination procedures is indicated by this study.”25 Walker et al. found “the SIDS mortality rate in the period zero to three days following DPT to be 7.3 times that in the period beginning 30 days after immunization.”26 Fine and Chen reported that babies died at a rate nearly eight times greater than normal within 3 days after getting a DPT vaccination.27
Ottaviani et al. documented the case of a 3-month-old infant who died suddenly and unexpectedly shortly after being given six vaccines in a single shot: “Examination of the brainstem on serial sections revealed bilateral hypoplasia of the arcuate nucleus. The cardiac conduction system presented persistent fetal dispersion and resorptive degeneration. This case offers a unique insight into the possible role of hexavalent vaccine in triggering a lethal outcome in a vulnerable baby.” Without a full necropsy study in the case of sudden, unexpected infant death, at least some cases linked to vaccination are likely to go undetected.28
