Badgers have themselves a Rudock/Beathard situation

2 things, Stanzi and Tate still lost a lot of games....

2nd) Tim Tebow, ugly motion, dumb decisions but all he did was win. I'm still convinced he could win football games in the NFL, but all the same I'm not a coach and I'm not going to pretend like I am. As a rule fans aren't capable of seeing things the way coaches see them IMO.
I live in Denver and the GM who traded away Timmy Tebow knows a lot more about playing QB in the NFL then you do. His name is John Elway ! John seemed to be right, Timmy's no longer in the NFL.

If you wait long enough someone comes around and says what many of us have been saying all along...YES I CONCUR coaches/GMs always have a better grasp on who should play. If you look close I'm always trying to lead someone to the right conclusion and you very poignantly gave it to us. Please share with the rest of the board so they can let our coaches off the hook.. I believe this is a good spot to head off to the sunset. Adieu...

So I have a couple family members and a good friend that are graduates from the Badger hole. Two of those individuals went to the spring game one of them my friend is still somewhat of a Hawkeye fan. I'm hearing that the badgers have a QB battle right now that in some ways resembles the Rudock/Beathard debate. I guess at the spring game Hornibrook (sp) a redshirt frosh wowed the crowd with three very nice deep completions of 35 yards or more, two for TD's. I guess this kid has a good arm and is accurate deep. The other guy Houston a SR doesnt have the accurate deep arm I guess he over throws guys deep however he runs the overall O a little better. Sounds a lot like Rudock and Beathard.

One thing that worries me about Wisconsin is if they find a QB that can kill a team deep and can make the midrange throws over the middle, something Wisconsin hasn't really had at QB that often. So I'm hoping that Houston wins the competition. Side note sounds like Wisconsin only drew around 9,000 to their spring game.

Bart Houston will win the job, he has the better arm and is entering his fifth season.
With the toughest schedule, arguably in the entire country next season, it makes little sense to have the RS lefty Hornibrook take the beatings and make mistakes.
Houston was a 4 star recruit on most boards and he did play one game last season and was pretty good.
After Houston's one season, it should be interesting to see if Jack Coan this year's QB, whom Phil Sims and Boomer Esaison say, "Throws as well now as many NFL Back-ups right now" gets a chance.
In between both of them is Kare Lyles, a smallish, listed 6'1 legacy who IMO will get recruited over. His 4 star OL brother Kaden is also in the 2017 recruiting class.
The 3-4 RS Freshman on the OL last season are bigger and much stronger now, don't put your game against Wisconsin under the "W' column just yet.
The schedule maker made it impossible for the Badgers but you still play the games and I don't think MSU or oSU is as good as they have been and MICH may still be a year away also.
