Badgers

Koenig and Hayes combined for 48 points and they still lost. They have no one else on that team. Vitto Brown and that Showalter kid are awful. Wow. They are bad.

Watched it with a smile on my face and all I can saw is..... Aw.......

No wondering Bo Ryan is retiring. He sees the handwriting on the wall that they are going to be bad for the next couple years.

They could certainly use Uthoff this year. Appears they have no PG, as Nigel Hayes keeps playing Point Forward. LIfe after Kamminsky won't be easy and they aren't making every late in the shot clock 3 like years past with Brust, Jackson, and others. UW-Milwaukee is no joke. Their PG is tough got open looks at will by blowing by his defender or coming off ball screens. Also think officiating (limiting hand-checking / holding) defensively is hurting them. They are not a very athletic team from what I have seen thus far.

Wisconsin lost Kaminsky, Dekker, Jackson, and Gasser.
Bo had no super-star freshmen this year. Wisconsin had
just made two back to back Final Four appearances. The
Badgers will have to fight hard for every Big Ten game
this year and hope for an NIT bid..

I haven't watched them but I will not count them out this early. We have looked less than stellar on some nites too.

But. BO has finished in the top 4 every year.
Any Takers?

There is no way I would touch that bet, despite their early season losses. Several years over the last decade I was certain their top 4 status streak in the B1G would end only to have them pull it off again. Until it happens, I wouldn't bet against it ;)

Anyone who thinks it won't be a difficult game up in Madison is kidding themselves. Sure Wisconsin has holes...but they also have the ability to beat top 15 teams on the road. Once they lock into conference play, they will be a tough out each and every night.

I would bet he won't this year......there has been no development of a bench. The starting five is going to get absolutely worn down during the big ten season. They have to play 33 to 35 minutes a game. The jump shots and free throws start to drift t the end of the game just like last night and that was Milwaukee! They are going to be able to come through with some games here and there but I am telling you they will not sniff the top 4. I see a .500 team. They have Marquette next....that will be interesting.

Odd, after their win against Syracuse, so many on this board were high on the Badgers again. It's funny how bipolar discussions on message boards can be.

Yeah I think Syracuse was a little over inflated to begin with....Wisky definitely played their best game but Syracuse went on to lose another right after that one to Georgetown and drop right out of the top 25 again.

Why do you think Bo was going to retire? The writing was on the wall. He's going to have to do some serious rebuilding these coming years like we will next year when Woody/Gesell/Uthoff leave.
