in my opinion thats the exact type of team white would have excelled on. he wouldn't have been keyed on by the defense so he would have been free to roam the baseline and pick up the garbage. with the other scoring options we had, we wouldn't have to let the offense run thru him trying to let him create, which was never his strongest game.

to the other point: so you're saying the all time 2nd leading scorer in iowa history would only see "some" time in most games and the ALL time leader in FT made and attempted (by a wide margin) would not see time in close games??

Totally agree. It's the same thing with Gatens IMO. Those 2 were both high level "role" players that were forced to carry a team. Those guys were very good players with the ball but had skill sets that were more effective if others were doing the creating.
