Beard seems like a great coach, not sure why the comment about not hurting feelings in Lubbock. Tt will have a really hard time continuing his success there.
So you don't think that Texas Tech fans aren't going to be pissed that he dumped them for the Longhorns?
Some are saying it might be the first time a Texas basketball coach makes more money then their football coach.
To me it sounds like Texas has it's priorities all wrong. Shaka left because Texas wasn't spending enough money on the basketball program as a whole, it wasn't that he wasn't getting enough money to coach. Will Beard have the same problem?

He's one hell of a coach. Didn't think he'd leave for another college job so kinda surprising. Outstanding hire by UT.
I took it as sarcasm. I would imagine the Zorro fan base is beyond meltdown.

Maybe I misread your OP. It seemed like you were saying the fans in Lubbock would not be upset. I'm sure they are mad as hell. Sure wouldn't be a hard decision--huge contract at UT and living in Austin vs Lubbock.
