Crazy Joe Carollo....he has been corrupt for close to four decades, beats his wife, been run out of government multiple times yet has never seen the inside of a prison cell and isn't known at all outside of Dade County.
Crazy Joe, who orchestrated the ouster of the previous police chief, (Miami goes through police chiefs at about 4x the rate that George Steinbrenner went through Yankees managers in the 70s and 80s) decided to play the Godfather theme on his phone while the new chief was speaking at his introductory press conference.
San Antonio ran out of gas after Harvey because ONE station ran out due to a delivery screw-up. It went viral via SM under the assumption it was due to Harvey.

The only reason to call the police is to report that the crime had occurred and get your report for the insurance company. The Miami Police have no interest in actual police work.
But hey, it works. If you don’t have insurance, why bother calling? If no crime is reported, crime goes down.

It’s not for everyone, but there is a lot to like about Miami. We go down there every couple months because my Wife is in several galleries down there. Huge art district. World class in my opinion. Like every major city, it’s got its problems but I always have a good time.
Miami (and miami Dade county) is unique and for sure not everyone’s cup of tea. The downtown area has changed a lot over the past 20 years. It’s like a little manhattan now without the subway.
The only place I could live in Dade County is Doral.
