Ben Carson: The Lost Tapes

wasn't most of his book/TV stuff WAY before his candidacy? Like in the 90's? I'm speaking from memory, not looking it up.

MSNBC's Kasie Hunt is covering Carson's campaign and they mentioned today how little he is actually campaigning. She showed footage of him at a book signing. When asked about it he said he's out campaigning all the time, the TV cameras just aren't there to cover it?

Stick to your liberal cause and let us conservatives worry about who we want to choose. MSNBC? Really?

I can't repeat something that I saw? So, Kasie Hunt was lying, and the footage of Carson repeatedly signing books was a fabrication? Gotcha.

Lol. That was one of the most bizarre responses by him. I can't fathom what leads people to purposely staying ignorant.
Well, if it were one of the Arb handles I'd say a desperate need for attention most likely. I'd put an unsatisfying job where he is marginalized second, and a domineering wife/mother figure in his life third in the rankings. IC West just prefers to be spoon fed by Fox News. You can actually look up on the internet the number of events Carson holds. It's very few.

How do you the tapes were not edited? What were the motives of the people making the tapes? What are the motives for the people releasing the tapes? These are the questions that demand an investigation.

Of course the tapes were edited to make him look bad.

The progressives are getting afraid of an independent black conservative so they have to tear him down.

It's against their narrative to let a black man off the "hand-out plantation".

It was edited. He didn't say that.

Ok. Even if we grant you that (which I'm not in the position to dispute, because, well, I DGAF about Ben Carson's crazy ass), are you going to dispute that he doesn't campaign much (and spends a lot of time book signing)? Is that made up to, or just simply that he didn't say that they don't show his campaigns on TV?

Because one of those things is more important to the heart of this story than the other.

I would stand up and applaud if Carson were the Republican nominee. Sometimes I wish you'd put more effort in your posts like in the past. Now you just shill and don't even bother to believe what you type. It shows. Carson never, ever thought he'd get this popular and it shows in the campaign he's running. Criticizing him for his numerous gaffes and lackluster campaigning style doesn't equate to fear.

Not campaigning much may just be a great strategy. Let everyone fight it out and just show up for the debates.

Except the debates are where he comes off goofiest. Dude's trying to sell a few books. This is an unusual way to do it but more power to him. He's going to sell books to people who don't even know how to read them.

Maybe he is contractually obligated to "sell books". Was the publishing deal signed way before he announced he was running or more recently? I have no idea what the answers are. Hell, I don't even know what book he is out there pimping.

I think IMCC was trying to be cute my making a reference to the edited Planned Parenthood tapes. I may have been giving him too much credit though! ;)

Lindsey Graham told The Morning Joe crew that he doesn't understand most of what Ben Carson is saying most of the time. If you've watched any of Carson's many appearances, you'd come away with the same observation. And let's face, I think Carson knows it too.

EUGENE ROBINSON, THE WASHINGTON POST: Senator, for me, the headline from the campaign right now is Dr. Ben Carson and the fact that he is in such a strong second place in national polls and increasingly in state polls. How do you explain his appeal?

SCARBOROUGH: And Gene says -- What was your column on -- on Ben Carson earlier this week?

ROBINSON: Yes, it was a column on Ben Carson earlier this week.

SCARBOROUGH: It was kind of tough.

ROBINSON: Yeah, it was kind of tough.

(CROSSTALK)

ROBINSON: I frankly don't get it. He's a lovely man. He's a great doctor. I don't see him as Commander in Chief. But how do you explain his obvious appeal?

GRAHAM: He's a lovely man, he's a great doctor, and everybody else thinks we suck. That's all I know what to tell you. I can't understand what he's saying half the time. He's a brilliant guy but I don't think he has a clue about what's going on in the Mideast. So what can I say? I don't know. I'm just doing the best I can. I'm going to do well in New Hampshire. I've had two dozen town halls and they actually ask me something.

SCARBOROUGH: That may well be the great --

BRZEZINSKI: This is the authentic Lindsey Graham.

SCARBOROUGH: That may be the greatest answer of the week, so we should just end it there.

Graham is also the only GOP candidate who seems even remotely adult and responsible on climate change.
