I got two proposals and the cheapest was $14,000. It is a lot for peace of mind, but I figured over time, it will be worth it. I originally got the proposals back in the spring and put it off due to the cost. When it looked like Hurricane Helene was coming right at Tallahassee, I was kicking myself for not getting the generator back in the spring. We got lucky but next time out luck may run out.
