Bennett Stirtz & Isaia Howard will follow Ben McCollum to Iowa City. Who else will be?

Guys he's good! Is he full of himself yes! He brings baggage and drama. Just like with the transfer as good as she is cotie mcmahon. That said I wish owen the ok year and with cotie a crap year next year
he had the same basic team this year he had last year. only difference this year is that other coaches knew how to play him where as a freshmen, they did not. I understand he was injured for some of this season, but i think his numbers were pretty bad compared to last year and not all of that is because of an injury.

No kidding. I can't imagine that the 3rd best player on a 15th-place B1G team is someone who is going to turn around the fortunes of a competitive team and take them over the top. I would think that is what that amount of $ would be used for. Crazy talk.
Apparently Kansas and Creighton (Kentucky and more) coaches think he’s pretty good..

To be fair, Exile's brewer is not a certified brewmaster. If he was, then Swarm likely wouldn't suck so much butt.

I don't think it sucks but like everything else exile does it's extremely boring. The whole concept of it where they tried to make it taste a way that appealed the Busch light crowd while pricing it at normal craft beer prices never made any sense to me.

I only saw the last two Drake games, so I have a very limited perspective, but it was interesting to me how little Stirtz had the ball in his hands. He was impressive when he tried to make plays, but often the rest of the team was trusted to make plays as the clock was running down. Stirtz seems much more like a combo guard, much like Dix. Dix has a little more size, so he can also play 3. I really really want to see them in the same backcourt, with both given the green light by their coach to make plays.
I watched them all season and Stirtz had the ball in his hands about 80% of the time if not more.

I have been watching some of these "big bucks" players and I would guess a pretty high percentage fail miserably. When a player is guaranteed huge amounts of money it tends to diminish the "self-improvement" that allowed them to get the big dollars. JMHO

As an example, Tony Perkins at $450K he did absolutely nothing special at Missouri this year and he is not alone. IMO

1100 players. That's 220 starting lineups, and 84+ full rosters.

For some perspective.

Leistikow on radio this afternoon asked about 3 guys. If he had to guess said Dix doubtful cause of $ being offered. Pryce 50/50 and Koch thinks most likely to return of the group.

Gun to my head I would still say Dix leaves but I think he's way too pessimistic on both he and Pryce.

Update on Dix. Sorry for any duplicate reporting. Dix will end back at Iowa if we can get in the ballpark of the Kansas offer. He was very impressed with BMC when they met one on one. It’s at least a legitimate chance. I would put the odds of Josh coming back(I’m an optimist) at 65/35. Go Hawks!
Man, it would be awful hard to turn down Kansas when you know you will play in front of packed crowds at one of the blue bloods making big NIL and a gauranteed trip to the NCAA. BMC is a hell of a salesman if he can pull it off.

Kills me that schools like Drake have better guards than Iowa.
Had is the more accurate word. That's no more. In fact, I believe from now on our guards, or their production rather, are going to be a high standard for other programs to reach. At the very least, the upperclassmen PG positions going forward should consistently be among the best in the BIG potentially.

Fran really hurt us in the PG dept. We've literally forgotten what a good one is. Young kids have never seen a good one at Iowa.

Since entering the transfer portal, Northern Illinois guard Quentin Jones (6'5" Guard) has heard from the following schools:

Xavier, DePaul, Iowa, Loyola Chicago, Toledo, St. Louis, Sam Houston, Nevada, Marshall, Appalachian State, Eastern Michigan, Cal State Fullerton, UIC, Samford, George Washington.

In 31 games, he averaged 35.4 minutes, 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, .90 blocks and 1.3 steals per game. He shot 46% from the field, 36% from three, and 77% from the FT line.

If we get Josh, Cooper and Pryce back, suddenly Ben has a 9 man roster.

The current 6 man roster:
Bennett Stirtz
Isaia Howard
Carter Kingsbury
Seydou Traore
Badara Diakite
Isaiah Johnson-Arigu

Sounds like he's a ben type of guy. Great stats as a sg. Shows hes a team player. I like that he'll only be a junior and sounds like we are the biggest name on his list. Depaul scares me tho

there are so many guys you can get from across all d1 and d2. NIL has shown that you can certainly build a great team full of merc's from other teams but you can also build a team with guys that few have heard of and be highly competitive as well.
All this has shown is that the "worth" some of these guys have is vastly overblown.

Love it man! That's probably where we will have to go. I like that he was where he was because he's seen kids at a lower level that I'm sure he knows are dogs!

Looking at the roster and what we can bring from drake, and honestly i think sandfort and koch return. the 3&4 spots are good.

Sg, backup pg for the future, and center look like our biggest must gets!
