New QB looked really promising especially under the circumstances. He never really missed any throws, just some were incomplete but still a very good showing.
Love his potential.

Only remember one really bad throw, but agreed besides Sully's games vs. NU/WI he appears promising....maybe another Stanzi type?New QB looked really promising especially under the circumstances. He never really missed any throws, just some were incomplete but still a very good showing.

Can actually throw a pass to the far sideline; what a novelty!!New QB looked really promising especially under the circumstances. He never really missed any throws, just some were incomplete but still a very good showing.
Love his potential.
Not picking a fight, but what happened vs UCLaid?Sullys first game was better, used his legs and hit his passes well… not taking away from Stratton but Sully is better at this point IMO
I mean, how many years are we talking?"Best QB Showing in Years for Iowa"
This can't be a real statement.
I'm glad we won, but Cade had been going 10/14 for 74 yards in the first half of each of his starts.Only at Iowa could the 4th sting walk on QB be the best on the roster lol.
OP's statement is like a sailor that has been at sea for months and now thinks a manatee is a mermaid.I mean, how many years are we talking?
I mean, sometimes it’s ok to go by the eye test. Today our qb was making throws Cade would miss by a mile lol. I’m not saying Stratton is gonna be anything, but he looked pretty fvcking good for his first start with us.I'm glad we won, but Cade had been going 10/14 for 74 yards in the first half of each of his starts.
This isn't even the best showing by a QB this year.
Yep, unfortunately we have a coach in place that has zero accountability for his actions thanks to Barta’s dumbass. Unless Kirk walks away, we are in for some seriously average to terrible football. This season should have started with Sullivan 1, Stratton 2. Would have at least 2 more wins.
Maybe. I think MSU and UCLA had more to do with our D than our O.This season should have started with Sullivan 1, Stratton 2. Would have at least 2 more wins.
You think Cade was the best qb on the roster, and also gave us the best chance to win?Maybe. I think MSU and UCLA had more to do with our D than our O.
No. But Cade also wasn't out there giving up 468 and 414 yards on D.You think Cade was the best qb on the roster, and also gave us the best chance to win?
True. The MSU game looks a lot different if we have any kind of offense though in my opinion. The D was on the field the whole fvcking game.No. But Cade also wasn't out there giving up 468 and 414 yards on D.
I wasn't able to watch the game. How was Shaggy's threat to run compared to Sully and Mac?I'm glad we won, but Cade had been going 10/14 for 74 yards in the first half of each of his starts.
This isn't even the best showing by a QB this year.
He didn’t really run the ball. Had a chance at one point but tried some awkward shovel pass type thing that was probably his ugliest play of the day. Faster than Cade, but not as fast or nimble as Sullivan. Maybe Stanzi level mobility? Tough to say for sure.I wasn't able to watch the game. How was Shaggy's threat to run compared to Sully and Mac?
He didnt run.I wasn't able to watch the game. How was Shaggy's threat to run compared to Sully and Mac?
I don't think the coaches wanted him to run since the backup was Marco with a cast.I wasn't able to watch the game. How was Shaggy's threat to run compared to Sully and Mac?
ya prob. I think the game is much different with Castro available.True. The MSU game looks a lot different if we have any kind of offense though in my opinion. The D was on the field the whole fvcking game.
yeah i like him. he has no weapons at all to throw to so he can't do very much, but he is calm and puts ball on the money when asked to.New QB looked really promising especially under the circumstances. He never really missed any throws, just some were incomplete but still a very good showing.
Love his potential.
No.New QB looked really promising especially under the circumstances. He never really missed any throws, just some were incomplete but still a very good showing.

If this is the best Iowa has had in years, Iowa is ****ed.
Iowa needs a massive upgrade at QB. Not one of the QB's on the roster are good, period.
How much money do you think the swarm has?We need to get a top 5 QB that can come in and play next year. I like Sullivan as a back-up and I'm good giving Strat a scholly as our third string.
Iowa fans get stiff any time a guy from the bench completes a pass or runs for a first down. Alex Padilla was the missing piece after a half of football in Evanston and Sullivan was the savior just a few weeks ago.
These guys have come in and done their job, gotten wins, and had their moments, but there's a reason they aren't starting here or anywhere else.
Unfortunately CM12 didn't pan out, hopefully with Lester in the room we can identify and land the guy we need.
Thank you for agreeing with me.Correct
Thank you for agreeing with me.
Sullys first game was better, used his legs and hit his passes well… not taking away from Stratton but Sully is better at this point IMO
I too wish Sullivan was the starter and McNamara never played, however, Iowa’s defense being on the field all game was 100% the Iowa defense’s fault. They were embarrassing that game. UCLA too.True. The MSU game looks a lot different if we have any kind of offense though in my opinion. The D was on the field the whole fvcking game.
I think there were some injuries that were not talked about…that became sport as the game wore on..plus they had a “bad night”… Shit happens. But remember it took one helluva field goal for UCLA to win that game. It was a frustrating loss, granted… but not as frustrating as the MSU debacle. Not picking a fight, but what happened vs UCLaid?
