This will be interesting…..comparisons are a stretch but I still can’t resist watching just to see.
I’ll go on record now that Iowa finishes at least tied with Indiana in the Big Ten standings, I’m a believer in the Hawks. So far Indiana looks like a BIG team projected #1. They play tough D, can shoot, move the ball well, and have some damn good players. They look the part
But what happens if Iowa plays defense the way we know they can (when they decide they want to)?IU plays defense. Hawks will struggle with their size and athleticism.
That Reffing crew is still terrible...Fran would have 3 t's and gone by now if we were playing them. I know... always home cookin in Bloomington. But what happens if Iowa plays defense the way we know they can (when they decide they want to)?
Would be a hell of a game, I imagine.
Yep I agree.......I try to look at the first HALF results for the most part. I think that by halftime the intensity of both teams and the nervousness has worn off. Then in the second half benches are cleared and play is sloppy....and some coaches keep the starters in much longer, etc....so second half and final score aren't really good comparisions.BC doesn't look as terrible as some of the teams Iowa has played in the past few years. I think the honor of the worst one might be chicago st. in 2017. That team would have struggled in an over 50 rec league.
But, they're not good.
Anything short of demolishing teams like this at home is an underperformance.
As usual, it will take a few match ups against teams with a pulse to find out what both Iowa and indy will look like.
