Bethune Cookman versus Indiana at 7:30 on BTN

So far Indiana looks like a BIG team projected #1. They play tough D, can shoot, move the ball well, and have some damn good players. They look the part
I’ll go on record now that Iowa finishes at least tied with Indiana in the Big Ten standings, I’m a believer in the Hawks.

Of course, I also predict the defending champion Fighting Illini finish above both. 🙃

But what happens if Iowa plays defense the way we know they can (when they decide they want to)?

Would be a hell of a game, I imagine.
That Reffing crew is still terrible...Fran would have 3 t's and gone by now if we were playing them. I know... always home cookin in Bloomington.

General impressions of Indiana is that they are much deeper this year, with young talent that is ready to play/produce right now.

There offense did appear to be better and flow better while playing a pretty solid brand of man to man defense........they do look improved over last year.

BC doesn't look as terrible as some of the teams Iowa has played in the past few years. I think the honor of the worst one might be chicago st. in 2017. That team would have struggled in an over 50 rec league.
But, they're not good.
Anything short of demolishing teams like this at home is an underperformance.
As usual, it will take a few match ups against teams with a pulse to find out what both Iowa and indy will look like.

Yep I agree.......I try to look at the first HALF results for the most part. I think that by halftime the intensity of both teams and the nervousness has worn off. Then in the second half benches are cleared and play is sloppy....and some coaches keep the starters in much longer, etc....so second half and final score aren't really good comparisions.

Illini should probably finish above everyone with getting to play twice Nebraska, Northwestern, Minny and PSU. These squads seems to be the consensus bottom 4 coming into the year. I haven’t looked at Iowa’s schedule, but know IU only gets 3 of the above 4 once.
