5 days ago. I'm taking the over.
I took the under, but at 6'6", that's a big frame. If he's still under I'm guessing it's not by a whole lot. It's like trying to guess the number of jelly beans in a large bowl.

Really hope he wakes up and changes his lifestyle sooner than later.

Edit: I'm seeing 6'2" online so I'll stick with the under, but my point remains..

Yeah, I've never understood the Bert hate. I mean I just like to call him Bert, but I could care less how many sammiches he can put down. Former Hawk, coached for the Hawks and went on to be a head coach somewhere else.

I thought this thread was hilarious.
Then I thought about some of the posts (rightly) faulting us for the weight shaming.
Now I feel guilty/bad (as I should).
The man did work for us back in the day.

Why? I shame myself the hardest and I am nowhere near the blimp he is. I need to drop 20-25.

You see...I think this is terrible that the teams he coaches can't help him understand it's important for him to get down to a more healthy weight. They have the best nutritionists working with the players...come on. My god, there is an incredible weight room that Bert walks by every day.

I'm not fat shaming him...I'm saying it's not healthy to be where he is...and he's like setting himself up for major health issues as he ages. Trust me...getting old is hard enough without adding in the percentages for health issues due to obesity. Plus...he will feel better if he drops 50 or 75 pounds and he will live a long life hopefully.

Champaign Tent & Awning will like be unhappy because they will lose his clothing contract...but if Bert lives a longer life...it's all good.

It's really because we are jealous.

Not just worked but also PLAYED.

He has a Tigerhawk tattoo on his damn leg!

Not much different than Bob Stoops.

He's a Hawk.
I would love him again if he ever came back. But for now its like he is an ex-girlfriend that used us and is whoring around.

I guess I don't get the infatuation over BB weight. The insults is another thing. The man has 10 times the money as most of you and a wife that you would trade for in New York second. Be kind!

I bet that over 67% of the people who posted on this thread are in the severely obese BMI category.

Lots of former players, especially linemen, struggle to keep the weight down. In college they want you to constantly be eating at training table and getting your weight up, and those habits are hard to get rid of. Once you don't have the mandatory workouts to go with them anymore, weight tends to skyrocket.

I'm just guessing that most commenting on his weight could stand to shed a few dozen pounds as well.

I have known quite a few and they mostly lost weight after college. Some didn't but they were always bigger but shed most if the bad weight while training.

Well who better to comment on fat people but fat people? Takes one to know one. Why listen to skinny people comment on fat people?
Or was there another point?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, excuse me while I remove a beam from my eye.

Marshall Yanda was at game on sideline last week. He is literally half the human he used to be. No one who sees him would ever guess a few years ago he was a starting OG for the Ravens. I damn near didn't recognize him.

Shoe Guy Greg Morris was on WMT this morning. They are already in Champaign. He said they were talking that 20,000 tickets remained for the game as of yesterday. He said they are giving them away to students to get them to come.

My annual New Year's Resolution is no aerobic exercise. I have been able to keep that resolution for decades.
There are a lot more moments now that I question myself than I used to when I was much younger. It ain't as "fun" as it used to be.

Larry Station is tiny compared to what he used to be. I was shocked when I saw him a few (5?) years ago.
