That might be a way to catch the deads. More likely it would put rescue folks at risk.
Yes, it will be ugly. 3-4 feet at lake level and 7-10 at elevation over 3 days.
I've been up there after heavy snows and had the blow over from an avalanche hit my car blinding me for a few seconds. Later that night 3-4 cars got buried from another one and had to wait until help came to dig them out.
Odds are most roads will be unpassable until Monday or so.
 
Is this the frozen version of one of the “atmospheric rivers” or just a garden variety massive storm?
