The best help for a defense is often a good running game.

In all games, Minnesota was ahead of Iowa. But, I prefer to eliminate non-conference games.

Iowa gave up more explosive plays than past seasons. Opponents scored more than previous seasons.

Iowa needs to get stronger. Wisconsin likely will not be as good?

At one time, Iowa heald teams to 24 points or less. That ended at Wisconsin and against Michigan last year, dating back to late 2018. Purdue scored 38 in 2018 in West Lafayette.

Of course, in 2020, Wisconsin allowed Iowa 28 points, in our own 3 possession win. The Badgers got pay back in 2021.

Time for Iowa to even the score.

Iowa has held opponents to under 20 points for six season, as Phil Parker enters his tenth season as defensive coordinator.

Since 2017, Iowa has lead P5 programs with takeaways.

This Notre Dame fan doesn't see Iowa sustaining a strong defense. Is he right?
