what everyone doesn't realize is that moos is amish. they plan on playing 18 games this season

You got blown out at home vs Ilini and Minny and you think you’ll win those on the road? Bert is going to open a can on your girls in Champagne this fall that they won’t be able to recover from all year. I say 3-9 to 4-8 is your high water mark with wins vs Buffalo, SE LA, Purdue, and maybe MSU. With a marginal qb returning and your best rb left along with the back up qb, the offense is a gimmick one at best that cannot make up for all those losses that were marginal at best to begin with. Delusion in Lincoln runs deep in you guys. 7 to 9 wins, LoL.
What about is off?You lost me on the offensive part.
I think this is accurate. If Nebraska had just a bit of discipline, they could’ve won more games. It all just comes down to turnovers, penalties, and special teams. If Nebraska could even be average in those categories they probably would have won half the games they lost the past 3 years.
Defense will be good. I dont expect a Top 10 unit, but they are finally are not a liability. They should be a Top 25-35 unit.
Offense, the offensive line should be the best Nebraska has had in years. WRS and TE look to be good, RBs there are a lot of guys, but they need someone to emerge. If Martinez can limit turnovers, he has more to work with in the passing game then he has had in 2 years.
I think 7-9 is fair. Nebraska is going to reschedule the SE Louisiana game and move another cupcake to Week 1, so they have a decent shot to go 4-1 to start before NW.
The issue is thats like saying if we don't make any mistakes and score more then the other team we'll win. Well Yea! The problem is NONE of Frost's teams have shown they can play with that kind of discipline. Goes back to coaching......Nebraska had 5 turnovers vs Illinois. If they clean those up, yeah I think they can beat Illinois with a 1st year head coach. Bert isnt inheriting the 85 Bears, its Illinois.
This is fun, isn't it? IF Martinez limits turnovers. IF we come up with some decent RB's. We're going to be really good at WR, IF all the guys who did SHIT last year can be really good, because we lost the guy who was 90% of our offense??????What about is off?
- Nebraska offensive line will be the best it has had in probably a decade. This is not saying much as it has been pretty garbage for 5 years. Im not saying it wil be a Wisconsin or Iowa level offensive line, just that they should be a good group and not a liability as it has been before.
- Nebraska returns all of their TEs. WR they were garabage last year, its tough to get worse. Its not a high bar to beat. They return everyone but Wandale, plus Add Omar Manning, Oliver Martin, and Toure who was an FCS All American as a transfer.
-RBs - I have questions here. We will have to see how it plays out. Bunch of young unproven guys + Stepp who is a transfer
- Martinez is a hell of a playmaker, but is biggest issue has been turnovers. If he can limit those, he can be a lot better player. Nebraska WRs should be better giving him more to work with going downfield. Nebraska basically was not able to throw the ball downfield last year.
I don't think they are are going to have a Top 10 offense. They just need to be able to threaten to pass downfield and they need to stop committing so many turnovers.
I see them only winning 2 games at home. And that is debatable given that Frosty will have lost the team by November when they face Southeastern Louisiana.I don't see 9 wins in this schedule. I think it's another 5-7 ish (or worse) season. I have said this before; I think they lose their opening game at Illinois. I think Bulemia is gonna run the ball down their throat and Little Debbie Nation is gonna implode.
Their Full Schedule:
at Illinois
vs Buffalo
at Oklahoma
at Michigan State
vs Northwestern
vs Michigan
at Minnesota
vs Purdue
vs Ohio State
vs Southeastern Louisiana
at Wisconsin
vs Iowa
My god....I forgot you had Oliver Martin. He's probably worth about five wins alone. What about is off?

Here is your problem. Martinez is a turn over machine on the short to mid range passes. Can you imagine how many interceptions he will have if you guys are throwing downfield a lot more? His accuracy is his problem, just like Armstrong and the other Martinez qb you had when trying to throw downfield.I don't think they are are going to have a Top 10 offense. They just need to be able to threaten to pass downfield and they need to stop committing so many turnovers.
Typical cornhusker deflection. What does that have to do with him making outlandish promises of winning 9 or more games.....Bill Moos is a war hero and a guy with a ton of integrity. Some of the comments here are concerning.

Bill Moos has accomplished enough in his life to understand. When he speaks. You listen.
LOL I don't care if he is Audie Murphy he made some stupid statements. Not surprising though.Bill Moos is a war hero and a guy with a ton of integrity. Some of the comments here are concerning.
There is plenty of reason to be optimistic if you're a Nebraska fan. They only lost 60% of their rushing yards and half of their receiving yards when Mills, McCaffery, Robinson and Stoll packed it up. Aside from Martinez they bring back 136 yards of rushing experience and 5 TD's. Plus, they return 3 of their 5 starting OL.What about is off?

All those big 12 teams in that list assumes the conference will be tough top to bottom. I haven't seen that in my 55 years.

Solid conference top to #9. KU is beyond pathetic. We’d all agree that this overvalued the Big 12, but a good bowl season slanted things their way.All those big 12 teams in that list assumes the conference will be tough top to bottom. I haven't seen that in my 55 years.
Just like I don't think I saw a single big 12 player taken in the first round last night.
I love how everyone tries to interject Martin like they have some evidence that he's going to be good. To this point he's done bubkas, and his sole accomplishment is he's been on the roster of a couple of teams who were ranked in the top ten at one point during his time there. Now he's on to Braska. Keeps heading downward. His next stop is division two, so maybe he'll find his niche yet......And Toure probably put up those numbers with a guy who could consistently throw him the ball, not the guy you have....Nebraska brings back 4 starting OL. Only Jameis left.
Wandale is a loss, Mills was good, but was banged up a lot so Nebraska barely had him last year. McCaffrey is a WR, if he doesnt want to switch position, its not a loss.
Nebraska retooled at WR. They got a Juco All American, an FCS All American via transfer, Oliver Martin, and then some youg guys coming up they should be better as a unit.
Toure is better than Wandale. I would like to have both, but it didnt work out that way
Toure in 2019
87 Receptions for 1,495 yards and 13 TDS
I dont expect him to do that at Nebraska but he should be able to easily replace Wandale's production

Seriously Wandale and Mills plus your Qbs running was your offense last year. Your argument for being good doesn't hold much water when you throw in Oliver Martin who has done little to nothing in 3 seasons for 3 different teams. How many times have we heard about highly ranked WR Nebraska has had coming in that didn't amount to nothing? Sooner or later maybe learn to pump the brakes on all these WR before they actually accomplish something on the field at this level. Big difference between Juco level compared to FBS. Lastly you will most likely be disappointed if you think Toure "easily" replaces Wandale's production. The guy had 51 rec next closest 18 last year. Had almost double the yards of the 2nd most. This type of delusion thinking on stuff like this will happen only to lead to disappointment when it doesn't come to fruition.
Lastly look who is throwing them the ball. The inaccurate QB who makes way too many mistakes in an offense that lives off swing passes. Again will be disappointed if you think after 3 years all of a sudden he becomes Mr Accuracy.
Has Frosty found a center that can make a shotgun snap? Or anyone that can count to eleven for the punt team?Nebraska brings back 4 starting OL. Only Jameis left.

What year is this tweet from? I believe I've read something similar in every off-season since Bo was fired. The Cornhuskers offense is going to be absolutely unstoppable.
I take it the entire OL is deaf...you know because of the clapping. Just like the pretend “sell out“ streak. Your team is undefeated AGAIN in the spring🤣What about is off?

And to keep their 'sell out streak' alive.Black and Gold shall fill the stands in Lincoln. I think they will be handing tickets to fill their empty seats.
Question/comment for lurking Nebraska fans. One thing I’ve been surprised about is Nebraska’s declining level of wide receiver play. However, it seems like since joining the Big 10 many of Nebraska’s “higher rated” WR recruits are from California. Is the lack of production at that position simply due to attrition or something else? What about is off?

Riley was a terrible coach. Nebraska recruited 21, 21, and 20 total players in his 3 classes. He recruited 7 WR recruits over that time frame. 2 were really good and the rest busted out. Thats just terrible roster management from a numbers standpoint. He wasnt filling out classes and getting enough guys
Frost for comparison. Nebraska recruited classes of 25, 28, 26 in his first 3 classes. that literally 17 more players than Riley. Riley basically put Nebraska on probation. They only had like 77 scholarship players in 2017 and a good chunk of them ended up being total busts.
Did not look at their schedule but it is true they draw OSU like every year and we barely see them.

It's unfortunate. I agree with you hoping Nebraska losses all their games, but I can't stand P.J. Fleck and hope they lose all their games too.I was being generous. I know Minny beat them last year in a close game, but I guess Minnesota also didn't have Bateman. Who knows. I hope Nebraska loses all their games. Good thing they gave Frosty that contract extension he so deserved.
