Panic attacks sucks.
Beyond that Eicholt not telling his bosses he has panic attacks until told to go on bowl trip and says no . . . is weird. Only later telling bosses once hand was forced. I think he has likely burned a few bridges by taking the easy route in the past and not always actively covering the beat. Is it being lazy, is he finding info on other sources, are these other reporters being old curmudgeon? Likely a little bit of all of it. In general though I go with the older generation they know how to work and get things done generally.
