no it's not. mineo definitely put out a blaze number. i forget what he claimed but it was 1) more than 600k and 2) disputed vigorously by tOSU staff.

there was just a number put out today for Jax. there were numbers for Bo to other schools.

there was a number for Jacob Cardenas, Lucas Davison, and Shane Griffith (which turned out to include tuition in final figure stated)

there were numbers for Wyatt Hendrickson. there was even a supposed number from OKST for Drake.

Drake heard all the numbers that the transfers into Iowa were getting (the 500k numbers are fairly legit) and felt disrespected because he was a returning national runner up. as Kirk says--recruit your own guys first. Not surprising the Brands aren't the best at managing all this, and I don't say that as disrespect to Brands. They are mat coaches and NIL is crazy--not their skill set. I've always thought they needed a CEO to help them some. Tom and Terry shared 1/5th of a scholarship, so they don't understand how it all works now. Other than the real possibility of our guys being too beat up, they are as good mat coaches as anybody outside of Cael.

Back to the topic. Drake had to ask Iowa for more $. Of course Okie State stepped in to offer. They probably could have won a bidding war with Iowa had they really wanted to, or had Drake really wanted to. I heard he is getting 200k-300k range. As,I've stated before I know for sure Hendrickson getting 400k package from OSU. Missouri offered him 300k.

The numbers for Iowa get out. It's not me making them up. And i tend to wait to hear it from multiple sources before i say/post anything. Sometimes i get sent screenshots. It just seems like the Iowa coaches care less about it getting out than other schools (CERTAINLY PSU)

AND more people are just more likely to talk about Iowa wrestling and what its doing. Iowa is the biggest brand in wrestling. Full stop.

Now. I don't mind talking about things I've heard, but if someone specifically asks - I won't post about it.

Carter and AB both got a mil for winning their 4th title. Carter will get 1.3 for winning 5

DT reduced the NIL amount for Fish, Amine, Hamiti and Hendrickson. Pretty sure Hamiti and Hendrickson were both close to $250k for the year before DT reduced it.

I don't hear much about ISU numbers. They absolutely pay, but they're not crazy numbers.

Blaze got offered $600k by Tom Ryan.

I heard a story that Gable wanted Tom, Terry, Reiland, Chelesvig and Hamilton to split a scholarship. Hamilton's dad wasn't excited about it and they went with ISU.
