He was ok. I mean he wasn't Beth Mowins, but he wasn't bad.
I said the same thing!! He was extremely complimentary when other commentators would have moved on to talk about other big games or how awful both teams were.. which we probably deserved
I liked the FS1 broadcast. Way better than ESPN or ABC.
I am very slow to warm up to pretty-boy QB's, I guess mainly because of Jesse Palmer (?).
But I thought Quinn did very good job as did McElroy with the ISU game.

No doubt. ESPN (networks) seems to be more interested in how cute they can get anymore, rather than putting on a quality broadcast. Wish the B1G had gotten in with FOX earlier. I hope FOX Sports gets increasingly more college football broadcasts, and that FS1 concurrently gets a larger and larger distribution.
I could take a Xanax and have a big slice of Ambien Pie and Gus Johnson would still get me to jump out of my chair and mess myself. ESPN has nothing on that guy’s energy....well except Beth...
BTW - what happened to Gus’s wardrobe during the OSU/PSU game? Did the airline lose his bag with his jacket & tie?
FWIW - My personal fave for color commentating is Bernie Kosar calling Brown’s preseason games. Sweating by end of the 1st, looses tie by halftime, slurring to start the 3rd, and disappeared by the 4th.

I would agree, except it felt like they tried to squeeze a commercial in whenever they could. I know ESPN does that, but this game should not have been 3.5 hours long.
Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt are my favorites. Gus has lots of energy and seems authentic, not contrived energy. His call of Tevaun Smiths TD in the B1G championship was awesome.
Klatt, Huard and Quinn are very under rated new guys (relatively speaking) that are far better than most, if not all, of the established color commentators out there. Hell, even Kelly Stouffer, former QB, does a pretty good job. Only person I put ahead of them all is Speilman. I also think Spenser Tillman from CBS does good work.
I thought he did pretty well. He didn't try to make himself the focus of the broadcast, and he had a workable knowledge of the teams on the field.

If Fox could get Gus Johnson and Speilman to do a big Iowa game I'd stay home just to listen. Might even have to play with myself if Iowa was winning....
Nothing against Brady Quinn, and of course I wish no harm on anyone..but..

Brady was very complimentary of Stanley........like he will be playing on Sunday's complimentary. I also liked Quinn's analysis calling the game, from both team's perspective. He is one of the better ones in the booth now imho........I do like Klatt also. And Speilman? The "no more tackling" is still one of my favorite calls of all time 
Quinn was really complimentary of Josh Jackson too, hinting that he's one of the best cover guys in America. Not sure I agree, but I'm never one to turn down verbal fellatio.
