so...the admin does what it can to lower prices at a time when a lot of people are traveling

This was a gasoline stockpile created after Hurricane Sandy messed up refining in the NE and created a price spike.
The real question is, was the price spike less than the cost we’ve incurred storing gas to prevent a price spike based on storms?
It’s probably a net benefit to consumer and taxpayer to ditch it.
