Did any of these recruits make it to Iowa City for #Swarm19? I feel like at one time we were in good with nearly all of them, but I may have missed an update or two. All four of these are marquee prospects at RB, DE, LB & TE. Would be a fine way to finish this class.

Go Hawks

Iowa is done at RB. They told Jibreal Brock not to visit because they had no RB slots left so Hall is not being recruited at this time

Newsom at MSU. Iowa probably out.

Hickman & Henrich did not visit.

None of them Visited. Hall is out, I think they like others over Newsome or he has told them to look elsewhere. H&H are anyone's guess but there is a rumor Henrich is going to make a decision tonight.

From an SEC DC friend " I've never seen so much pressure put on kids, from the media, fans and coaches, to stay home as Nebraska is putting on local kids. It is like the kid is afraid to even talk to you".... he has been coaching D1 for 28 years.

Husker cultists would definitely treat anyone in husker land, who didn't go to Nebraska, like shit until they left. I read the one de-commit got death threats from last class. The media is nuts, people new to the area would always ask me thru the years, what's with the media and the nothing else matters but Huskers? New neighbors immediately telling them they would "convert " them to Husker fans. You wouldn't believe how many liked Hawks over Huskers simply because they were sick of hearing GBR every time they turned around. I truly feel sorry for any offered recruit in the state of nebraska...

If the pressure aspect is true it will back fire eventually. There will be a high strung coach who has a kid with the ability to play at a true national title contender and Frost and co will alienate them. Razors edge playing "keep in state recruits" with that much force.

I wish that could be true, but Husker fans are a rare breed which domestic abuse goes way up in the state after a loss. I'll also say I feel for the many good fans in the state, despite them ignoring the shady ways for their trophies and the disturbing narcissistic cult following and brain washing media.
My ex father-in- law, a son of a preacher and a wonderful and quiet human being, shocked me one day when he said he didn't care if nebraska got shady( criminal, prop 48, whatever) to win again...in a round about way. I had no response that day, it just reassured me of the true difference between the typical Hawk/any other and Husker fan. Some literally take pride in being disturbingly different and thinking you're nuts you're not being a Husker lover too? It's more of a cult than a fan base IMHO.

How about some facts backing this shit up instead of all innuendo?

The player in question was Cameron Brown, not even from Nebraska. The rest, my personal experiences. How about you convince me your fan base isn't in full desperation mode since Christ the savior has arrived. Tell me your average Husker fan gives 2 shits what Hickman or Henrich want, especially with the over abundance of cultist that make it miserable for anyone not GBR.

While not an insider at all, I have personel knowledge of one of the recruits listed above, and that recruit has been told by SF that the most important thing is for him to make his own decision on where HE wants to atttend school and play football.
This young man will make his own decision for the right reasons.

They pressured Brock to commit and he declined, so his official was cancelled.

None of those four visited. Breece Hall has been off the board for a couple weeks. I think the last visit he took was to Iowa State actually about a week ago. Mosai Newsom visited Michigan State last week and picked up a new offer there. Chris Hickman hasn't really made any college visits this month. Nick Henrich had an invite to Iowa, but didn't make the trip. This month, he's taken an official visit to Wisconsin and then an unofficial to Nebraska about a week ago.

We're now into the dead period, so no campus visits for the next month.

Going to Nebraska, a fate worse than death. You guys are really reaching. The state & program are all positive vibes right now. Thats probably why all 4 of these recruits are trending towards Nebraska.

Iowa fell in love with Mekhi Sargeant and Tyler Goodson. They like them both more than they liked Brock. It's really that simple.
You both are incorrect. Brock's timeline did not matchup with the staff and they cut him loose. Some of you sheep are so naive. The kids was offered and made 5 trips to IC without committing. He was told to shit or get off the pot and he declined.

ISU will take Hall or Brock, but it appears not both. They really like both.

I grew up an Iowa and in Nebraska and it wasn't easy. Nebraska fans were relentless and couldn't understand how I could like a team other than Nebraska.

I can guarantee you that Heinrich is pressured every day to be a Husker by Nebraska fans. If he commits elsewhere, his senior year won't be fun.

Iowa would have waited if they liked Brock better than the one's we got.

Iowa never pressured Brock. he had all the time in the world to make his decision. it just a Fact that the 2 RB slots may have filled up and they were no going to string him along.

Sargeant is a 1st team JUCO AA not too bad of a pickup. if Goodson commits he fits the APB that the coaches are going to in a 2 RB recruiting class.

if Hinrich goes elsewhere it won't hurt them, same with Hickman neither are make or break players in this class.

Source? Link?

So the same thing Iowa did?
Programs move on if the recruit won't reciprocate love. ISU was the 1st to offer Hall (Just like the hawks with Brock). Brock is 1A & Hall 1B. The Hawks had Brock at 1A & the other two at 1B & 1C. Good recruiters won't target 1 player and go all in on him. Fran needs to learn this concerning the Bett pg.

True. But Fant went to Omaha South and committed during the Mike Riley era.
and Ott and Bazata were from the Pelini era, not to mention one of Iowa's best LB'rs came from Nebraska to play for Fry so what your excuse for that?

OLB Jacobs is the #16 player in Ohio, Campbell is your typical Iowa player that is constantly under rated like 2* Jewell.

Iowa still is the mix for the 6th best player in the state of Ohio in ILB Eichenberg. like I said getting Hinrich while being a good addition is not a major need,

Fran has a pair of ESPN 4* PG's on the roster, but don't see the need to bring Fran into this conversation..

I'm not a Nebraska fan you turd. Ott and Bazata were never offered a scholarship from Nebraska.

Classic Kilroy.

who cares if Nebraska screwed the pooch on those 2/
DT Bazata was rated the 3rd best player in Nebraska and was a 3 time 1st Team All Stater.
DE Ott was rated the #2 Player in the state of Nebraska

HS Coaches have a very long memory.

I was told that Newsome is not going to Iowa.
Newsome wants to play on a defense like he played on in HS and that's a 3-4, Iowa uses a 4-3. so I am not concerned as players need to go where they fit and feel the most comfortable.

So then why did you even bring them up Kilroy?

FWIW, I think Henrich told Coach Leonhard last week that he in not coming to Madison, at least not this year.
